Have you played FE 4-6?
Vote
Stuff: - Ratings 1-10, no decimals. If you include a decimal, I will round down. - We will do two ratings for each character character (CH) & unit (UN). They will be separate lists and you do not have to rate for both lists. Character rating is for design, personality, aesthetics, story, etc. and unit rating for everything gameplay related. If you only submit one rating and dont specify which, it will default to the character rating. - You are free to rate any characters from past days or change your rating. - Nominations for future characters are accepted. This does not guarantee your noms will be up for rating the next day but they will be moved up the queue for sooner rather than later. - You obviously do not have to rate everything, just the ones you want. - No regular schedule (e.g. Day 2 will not necessarily come ~24 hours after Day 1) Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lne8OQTQ7CwA5UXfzbD-Gsl34JuhamCU9oUgW85JC9w Past Days: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xdaRcNoKXPEjPNuA8-lRIZtVEQXI-qOJyqO3HZgdC6A CH: 1. Nanna CH 8
Lugh CH 10 Astrid CH 7 Robin (M) CH 2 Robin (F) CH 2 Takumi CH 5 Nanna UN 8 Lugh UN 6 Astrid UN 7 Robin UN 10 Takumi UN 6 Nanna is a mounted healer, which is always a good thing, and her unique Earth Sword gives her access to some interesting strategies. I'd say her characterization benefits a lot from the more serious tone and interesting events in Thracia. Lugh is a decent earlygame mage. His magic is a little low but he can still do substantial damage because enemy res tends to be poor, and his high speed makes it easier for him to start doubling compared to a lot of growth-based units. The +4 magic gain from Sage promotion also does him a lot of favors. Unfortunately staff rank takes forever to grow in FE6, which means he's likely to be stuck on E or D staves all game, but at least the extra healing utility helps. I don't really know why, but he's always been my favorite character in FE6 and I use him every time just because I like him so much. Despite her low base stats and starting level, Paragon ensures that Astrid can quickly become a capable fighter, and she has the benefits of high move, canto even after attacking, and access to lances or axes post promotion. Her personality can feel a little typical and she's not one of the best characters in PoR, but she still gets fleshed out pretty substantially. Robin is arguably the most overpowered character in the series. Unlike Seth or Sigurd, he can't annihilate every enemy when he joins, but his high growths, access to all classes, and fast leveling due to Veteran quickly get him to that point. The most efficient way to play Awakening is to feed Robin all the exp in the early maps and then just throw him into the middle of the enemy and mash the start button. Robin is actually even more broken as a girl due to Galeforce. The whole player self-insert that all the characters suck up to thing is lame, though. Takumi has all the classic archer problems, but the extreme might of Fujin Yumi makes him useful for taking down Ninja in one hit and dealing with any pesky fliers. Fates on higher difficulties can be a little more player-phase based which helps his case somewhat, and promotion to Kinshi Knight gives him high move and ability to use lances, although being stuck at E rank makes him unlikely to ever become proficient with them. I like him better than some of the other Fates characters, because at least they were trying for complexity with him. --- I'm playing every game from GotD 2020! Nanna CH 7
Lugh CH 4 Astrid CH 5 Robin (M) CH 7 Robin (F) CH 7 Takumi CH 6 Lugh UN 6 Astrid UN 5 Robin UN 10 Takumi UN 6 Nanna is a fairly cool lady, one of the better gen 2 kids. I never played FE5 so I can't rate her as a unit in it. Lugh is fairly generic in personality, but he's a solid unit. Good growths and availability, and he hits Res which is always helpful in FE6. Astrid has bad taste in men and shows up underpowered. She's potentially worth the investment in the long run, in FE9 at least (much less so in FE10). I can definitely take her or leave her. Robin is very very good, if not broken. She isn't amazing immediately but quickly gets there and stays there. Personality-wise Robin is a mixed bag. She's probably the best written avatar, which is damningly faint praise but still. She's also more than just one quirk repeated ad nauseum, which puts her above most of the Awakening cast, but again, faint praise... Takumi is tainted by Fates' writing to be a shadow of an interesting character. Frankly I'm tempted to rate him even lower, but at least there's something interesting there. As a unit he's solid? Fates made a good effort to fix bow units and Takumi benefits a lot from it, but like, bow-locked infantry still aren't great. If you're gonna use one, Takumi's your guy though --- Congrats to BKSheikah, who knows more about years than anyone else. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Nanna CH 5
Lugh CH 5 Astrid CH 5 Robin (M) CH 6 Robin (F) CH 5 Takumi CH 7 Lot of ambivalence this time around, I barely remember anything about Lugh or Astrid (prior to RD at least). Robin (F)'s Chrom support is worth a point reduction. Takumi is alright I guess? Nanna UN 7 Lugh UN 5 Astrid UN 7 Robin UN 10 Takumi UN 7 Nanna is pretty helpful with healing and charisma, staff rank is too low to ever get to the good stuff though which is unfortunate and her bases are shaky, though the Earth Sword gives her solid combat potential here and there and it's not like Thracia enemies stay functional for long. Lugh is a solid chip bot early on when you need all the help you can get and has the most accurate weapon type in a game where accuracy is sketchy. His bases aren't the greatest but he's viable and I almost always end up using him. Sage promotion bonuses being huge is a big saving grace for him, though the limited Guiding Rings hurt. Astrid requires a sizable BEXP dump to function, but you get an extra axe paladin out of it so it's worth it unless you're playing Maniac Mode maybe where the BEXP is limited, even then it's probably worthwhile in the long run. Robin is...yeah. Female Robin is clearly better but the male version is still lulzy. Takumi is good but not great. --- Meow! ... Copied to Clipboard!

Lugh UN 6 Astrid UN 8 (a good est due to paragon and two range to help level her) Robin UN My Robins always turn out bad compared to like her averages, so not ranking because she never turned out a 10 for me.
