The reason Zoro's name was changed to Zolo in both the 4Kids dub and Viz Media's translation of the manga; his name was a homage to Zorro, which at the time One Piece was initially licensed, was the subject of a copyright lawsuit despite that property having fallen into the Public Domain years prior. 4Kids, Viz and (initially) Toei all agreed to change his name rather than risk getting caught in a lawsuit. By the time Funimation got the anime license, Toei decided this was no longer a concern, so their dub was allowed to use his original name, though Viz Media's agreements with Shueisha specifying that he be called Zolo still stands to this day.

Some of them are known. There is even a book in the world with pictures of fruits and what power they give.

Once the user dies the fruit regrows and another person can eat it.

I dont think any explanation of exactly who names the fruits in world exists.

I feel like they injure people to the point of not being able to move, but never really kill anyone or at the very least don't out of their way to kill anyone. If someone dies from their injuries offscreen you'd never know.

I really like the purpose Wapol serves, though. The absolute beatdown Luffy puts on him makes certain things in Alabasta even more interesting than they already would've been.

His cover story is pretty good though

That's the one thing the anime lacks is that it doesn't cover all of the cover stories from the manga. Wapols does get covered though albeit very abridged version of it

It's mainly because the anime has a rule that Luffy has to appear every episode so content without him can get skipped or shifted around from when they actually happened. More typically they just extend a fight he's is in longer than it should be
