Protester wading through a group of police while yelling in their ears and stalking around/behind one. When one stops and the protester's dumb ass walks into him, he gets rightly taken into custody because he crossed a line. Also, he resists pretty visibly despite his buddy's cries of 'he's not resisting!!!!!!!!'

Really closely pay attention to the positions of each man. If you think the officer had eyes in the back of his head and intentionally stopped so the dude would 'run into him' as an excuse to arrest him, I don't know what to tell you. The dude was crossing behind the officer of his own accord. The officer was not in front of the protester until the protester stepped into place behind him.

Watch again, and as I said, pay close attention to their positions and movement. Don't watch it once (or read about it once) and draw conclusions.

It should only be a crime to resist arrest if the cops are in the right to arrest you. In this case the cops should be charged with insisting on arrest despite it being incorrect and unlawful.

that's not how it happened.

if you watch the video, the protestor was behind the cop, and the cop slows down so that they're side-to-side, so the protestor tries to walk behind the cop so that he can go around him, and that's when the cop abruptly stops
