No thats not really true.
They usually call in the security guards to subdue said patients, so that way the nurses can administer the medication for said patient to act calm/fall asleep
Plus if a nurse injuries a patient they can lose their job/ ability to practice within the medical field (they will face greater scrutiny than a security guard) or the patient can sue said nurse.

yep.
a while back, i had to take an inmate to a mental health hospital who was on a form 1. the inmate became so belligerent at a point and threatened to throw urine at anyone who entered his room. eventually we called security and they 3-point restrained him and the nurse sedated him.

If misuse of a taser has the capacity to kill, seems fair. If not, then not sure how you'd justify shooting him unless he was an immediate threat to someone else.

My morals and opinions are entirely based on the law. Nothing else. You are upset because it doesnt agree with your viewpoint. I dont state any opinion on police matter here that doesnt go by the law. Because thats how you judge if its challenged, by the law. Not by the outrage of a typical uninformed gamefaqs poster

I reposted a previous topic from a known agitator that I tentatively agreed with simply to mention someone else who got warned for saying stupid shit... and then I made a Game of Thrones joke that was appreciated by its recipient user.

Honestly, I'm not really all that anti-cop. I mean if yinz are gonna do dumb shit, I'm gonna be against it... but the more important base fact is that I never learned to respect law enforcement because law enforcement never was able to display a genuine mental advantage over me that I could be surprised by in such a way that my respect would be offered. The problem lies in the fact that while beating you folks is easy for certain folks, it's much more difficult for others and mental capabilities are not the the defining factor.

Maybe you should go ahead and tell me more about me. Maybe that will help your cause...

I am kind of surprised this is even a discussion, to be honest. Look at the videos.

The first video shows the cops trying to cuff the suspect and him actively resisting. They are not using any undue force in this video. The suspect breaks free, attacks them, steals the taser from one of them, and runs away. The cop that still has a taser attempts to subdue the suspect with his taser, you can see and hear it in the video, but it does not work.

The second video shows the suspect fleeing while the cop is still trying to use his taser, and it still isn't working. The suspect is much closer to the cop with his taser than the other cop is to them. The suspect turns and points the taser at the closer cop. At this point the closer cop goes for his gun but it seems the trailing cop beats him to it and shoots the suspect. The trailing cop, knowing the suspect could likely reach his partner and take his gun before he reaches him, either has to do nothing or let the suspect potentially his partner's gun, as it does not seem like he can close the distance before the suspect could.

The trailing cop's options where to a)let his partner possibly be shot with the taser and hope the suspect did not incapacitate his partner and attempt to take his gun or b)do nothing. Yall really out here advocating for the latter. It's wild.

If it's justifiable for a cop to respond to a taser with deadly force, it's justifiable for a civilian to respond to a police taser with deadly force. Occupation shouldn't make a difference.
