Huh? Most reveals nowadays have the price. The Vita and PS4 certainly did.

The PS4 had this sort of reveal in February and revealed the price in June.

The "future of PS" with the PS4 didn't show off the console or anything. It was much like them already showing off the PS5 earlier before this event.

It was the initial reveal. They showed games like Killzone Shadowfall and Knack. We haven't seen anything directly from the PS5 until today.

Not really comparable. The PS4 event was the first unveiling. We knew nothing about it before. With the PS5, they've been revealing things for a year now.

I like the 2-Tone "Black & White" motif. That looks sharp and snazzy.

The Console Chasis / Body Shape doesn't click for me.

It feels "Pretentious", like a freshmen Art Major designed it instead of a proper Sony Engineer.

And I wanted a Pentagonal Box to rival MS's Square Tower.

Both microsoft and sony's conference sucked. Not a single game I popped off for. Hopefully Microsoft will do something cool for their first party game conference because next gen looks so boring rn.

Most games aren't going to be 60 frames. Unless it's republished stuff fr before. Which I'm sure they'll be plenty. This is going to be no different than before. First party games will get some unique things. Crossplay is probably the best thing that happened last gen. Oh the Microsoft emulation craze wasn't bad as well.

i have a PC for Overwatch 2 (which I won't play because Overwatch got old like 2 years ago) and LOL Fortnite is fucking free garbage that can run on a mediocre phone

Generally no complain about design choice or controller, it's also nice you can buy the one with disc slot or digital only version, but imo the line-up games for launch are still pretty weak.

Capcom new IP might be the most interesting, idk.

Ugliest console of all time. No way in hell would i have that in the open in my house. The 2 tone is horrible. Give me an all black and i can deal with the shitty design.

Most of the games didn't look like huge improvements over current gen. Ray tracing is a worthless resource hog. Already reports of games running at 30fps to have it, luckily it seems to be an option like on the pro.

Most of the games shown were nothing to get excited over. Demons souls, Horizon, Spiderman (ugh Miles though... looks like a spin off too), and maybe Godfall look decent.

The presentation was full of stupid graphical transition and low energy developers. No price.

I was super hyped until i saw this. The reveal was a 4/10 if that.

They didn't sell me on getting one at launch. The only confirmed launch title is Spiderman Lost Legacy and thats not enough to convince me to pay what looks like a $600 console.

I liked the look of a lot of games in the reveal tbh. Obviously all of the heavy hitters like Horizon and RE8, but I'm looking forward to more info about:

Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Ghostwire Tokyo
Deathloop (I was interested in this one when they showed the first trailer a year or so ago)
Returnal
Project Athia (mostly just because it looks pretty)
Stray (mostly just because it looks weird as fuck)
Goodbye Volcano High (I probably won't play it, but I wanna see wtf it's about)

I'd get digital anyway, I hate switching disc's, especially with the games having to be fully installed anyway. I've been pure digital on ps4 with a 4tb external hdd for 4 years now, ever since my disc drive broke, and I don't regret it.

If the Digital Edition comes with an optional external BluRay Drive, I'd get multiple External "BluRay Drives" just to have a backup Optical drive ready incase one fails.

Given USB C can provide up to 100 watts of power, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony had that as an option since it only requires one cable to power the BluRay drive and send data back & forth.

Oh, btw, I found one thing extremely hilarious.

The Gran Torino game is gorgeous. It looks almost like video footage of a race. And then they cut to that map screen with the picture of a woman and a dialogue box the same way Facebook games do. And it was funny as fuck.
