Los Angeles Galaxy Soccer Team has FIRED 29 y/o midfielder, Aleksander Katai from the american team after his WIFE posted inflammatory messages on social media calling for the protesters of George Floyd to be KILLED!!

In the now deleted post, Tea Katai mocked the Black Lives Matter movement and URGED the Trump administration to enforce violence against the protesters.

In one of the screenshots, she shared a video of NYC Police officers driving their vehicles into a crowd of peopleand she said "Kill the s****!"

The other post shows a looter with a box of nikes with the caption "Black Nikes Matter' and she wrote in another post in Serbian describing the protesters as DISGUSTING CATTLE who should be shot and killed for justice!!

The MLS club were quick to condemn the posts and asked it to be removed and earlier today, the LA Galaxy were made aware of these racist posts by the heifer and decided to cut ties with Aleksander.

The LA Galaxy stand with the communities of colour and especially the Black Community in the protests and fight against systemic racism, social inequality, bigotry and violence

Aleksander disowned his wife's post on instagram and said "These views are not ones that i share and not tolerated in my family. I will ensure that my family and i take necessary actions to learn, understand, listen and support the black community. I am sorry for the pain these posts have caused the LA Galaxy family and all allies in the fight against racism"

Katai made 2 appearances with the team before the matches stopped cause of COVID-19 and moved to Los Angeles following a stint at Chicago Fire and has previously played for Deportivo Alaves in LaLiga

This won't be a thing.

Most footballers nowadays have it in their contracts that if they, or their family members, do anything that could bring the club into disrepute, they could face disciplinary action.

I wouldn't feel too bad for him, at least he gets to fuck the stupid out of her.

if this is true then they should not have fired him. I have never agreed with punishing people for knowing someone who commits a crime. that's not fair. you don't go after your enemies loved ones unless the loved ones are also doing the same stuff. like killing the kids of a man who shot your brother as an example. all that shit is evil. they should not have fired this guy unless you can prove he agreed with his wife

Meanwhile, people have fallen all over themselves to defend murder-cop's wife, even before she filed for divorce, and saying his actions shouldn't reflect on her. Literal murder.
This dude's wife sent out an offensive (maybe considered a threat?) tweet, and he immediately pays for it himself.

To be clear: I'm not saying Mrs. Ex-Chauvin deserves any blame, just pointing out the gender double standard at work.

That unprecedented aggression caused most of Serbian people to not exactly be able to show empathy for any problems the USA may have. Regardless, celebrities or celebrity affiliates should know better but I don't feel sorry for them as well.

That being said, Katai should return home to his beloved club where he will be treated like a king

well maybe but not. Usually mutual termination implies he gets paid a bunch in compensation and he can go. Most pro athletes in Europe agree to the conditions since when a club offers mutual termination, it generally means they don't see him as a key player so players can get paid and they can go elsewhere to try and play more rather than sitting on the bench and waste away. They can't fire him because he never breached his contract and if they did, they'd have to pay his full compensation (a lot more then a mutual termination) and most likely a lawsuit follows.

Then there are cases like Gareth Bale who simply get paid too much and they want to run out their contract because it's more money down the stretch. Yeah he doesn't play but he doesn't give a shit because he gets paid a lot anyway.

tl'dr:
mutual termination: club saves money, player gets some compensation, can leave because he wanted, it's a win-win
one sided termination: club must pay out the full amount, gets sued, player is disgraced because he didn't want to leave, it's a lose-lose
