Tyra Banks had a segment on her show where mixed/lighter skinned Black people actually experienced more racism I believe from Whites and Blacks

That's not racism though, those people are the same race, they just look different. It's like saying hating short people (another thing Korea does) is racism.
It's just the best way to describe it, they don't consider them to be of their race or at least too impure.
On the note of facial hair in Korea though. That is 100% racism related, purely because it's viewed as a symbol of Japanese lineage.

I think this has been a perception long before Imperialism.
Eh, perhaps.

They definitely experience their own brand of racism, that's for sure.

People wanna assume light skinned brothas are soft, gay, and not black enough.
I remember back when I used to use Tumblr many years ago there was this dumb meme going around about light-skinned black men all being gay or something. It was really popular among a small subset of "black power" people who were known for constantly insulting mixed-race black people and anyone who didn't agree with the idea that mixed-race black people weren't actually black.

Yeah I was just talking about this exact point to my brother the other day. I don't think that people that think that have thought too hard about it. Trying to remove bi-racial people from black history will take A LOT of people who have contributed majorly to black society out of the discussion. Frederick Douglass, WEB Dubois, Booker T Washington, etc. Hell even Barack Obama

Yeah, often times people are their own worst enemies. I mean, really, it's the same mental gymnastics that caused slavery to garner so much support in the Pre-War South even though it only directly benefited something like 20% of the white population--People, especially those that are economically or socially repressed, love to have something to punch down at. If the poor whites had just realized that the real enemy in their midst was the aristocrats that dominated the land and prevented economic growth through their stifling control, they would see that the enslaved blacks were actually closely aligned with their own interests.

But people are stupid, selfish, short-sighted, and hateful. Those attributes will always be exploited by those who seek to simply accumulate wealth and influence.

As a light skin black person who can pass as other non-black races, I can tell you that my entire existence has been me stuck in the middle.

I am not white so I am not totally accepted there, I'm not Hispanic so I'm not accepted there and I don't look black enough, so my own people don't accept me either(my light skin and straight hair is seen as weakness).

Over time, I've learned to deal with this reality and still continue to my best to point out and condemn racism when I see it.

Don't accept the racist characterization of you. Define yourself how you want to.

I actually think there will be more of a movement from younger biracial people (mixed with black) calling themselves biracial instead of just black. We are seeing it more and more.

When 911 happened some dude asked me if I was from the middle east. Then when Corona flared up some bitch asked if I was Chinese, I told her no, but the Walmart brand purse she had was. Fuck these types of people.
