Lingerie - It's pronounced like lon-jer-ray, but it's spelled with L-I-N-G?

Diarrhea - The double-r h always gets me.

Bureau - too many damned vowels

What words always give you trouble?

I have no problem with it, but I'm amazed at how many people cannot spell or pronounce "Sioux". (It's pronounced like "Sue", the "x" is silent)

"Platte" seems to be a big problem for a lot of people too. (It's pronounced like "plat") Doesn't help spelling-wise that there's a town called "Plattsmouth" at the mouth of the Platte.

Words that have "ie" or "ei" like weird. A lot of times I ask myself "wait, does the 'e' or the 'i' go first?"

When I was a kid, it was Wednesday I had trouble with.
But thanks to Nintendo, I realized it was just the NES's wedding day, or rather the wedding of the nes day.

Hmm. Not a problem on paper but fighting autocorrect and swipe on a small screen causes me issues. I need to break down and just buy a bigger screen.

Also I dont blame not native speakers for misspellings as read doesnt rhyme with lead and wind does rhyme with wind.

Fun fact: If you write out a simple word like "door" enough times in a row, a majority of people will begin to believe it is not a real word. This is known as jamais vu, the feeling that something is strange or new even though you've seen it before. It's the opposite of dj vu.
