... Have you watched the clip in question? Because he very unambiguously says that he thinks internal application of disinfectant and UV light are worth considering. He doesn't specifically say to drink bleach, but that's really not far enough off the mark to say that it's not within the realm of reasonable hyperbole.

Yes, it is a question, but that doesn't make it any less profoundly unintelligent, and it's that profound unintelligence that is being mocked. Because we don't just inject anything lethal in to the body and hope for results, chemotherapy seriously harms people, cancer is obviously very different to a virus and weakening the body is how you help a virus spread.

And Trump is the first person in the history of pharmacy to be willing to skirt regulations to enough of an extent to consider the idea? Yeah, that seems likely.

This is an industry that injects botulinum toxin - the most lethal toxin known to humankind - into people for cosmetic purposes. If it can figure out a way to make common household disinfectants safe enough to get FDA approval for antiviral use, it's going to do so, regardless of what the FDA says about the products in their current state.
