In Germany, laws (especially pertaining to business and the making of money) tend to err on the ethical side, and do so by restricting the power of businesses to an extent. This is common among both the left and the right, with only classical (free-market) liberals taking a different stance. Even when not required to by law, German corporations will try to favour the well-being of their employees over making a quick buck.

How does CE feel about this?

Not necessarily. Some unethical behavior is fairly transparent to lots of these interested parties, for example improper waste disposal.
