No... but they are gonna try to give everyone remote access very soon. So well see how that goes. There would still need to be a skeleton crew for work items that can only be done at the office (like the mail).

Edit: Something I never thought about until posting this... anyone hear anything about how mail processing & distribution can remain safe?

I could work from home, my company has sent emails talking about closing the offices and having everyone work from home. I think they did it in out Seattle offices, but not the others.

Personally I hate working from home so even if they send out the notice, I'll probably still go in.

Probably not unless it's the reason I've had to cover for the head cook in my department. She was out all week for a medical reason, but the deli supervisor said it was something to do with a surgery. *shrugs*

Not yet, but if you see my latest post, it just might happen if they decided to shut down the Transit System here in NYC...

Need it to make deliveries, so it's like a Win (more ppl don't wanna go out) and Lose (need Transit to get where I'm going) situation for me.

Yeah, the museum where I work is closed because of the virus. There's a lot going on.

Museums, libraries, other public buildings and some shops are closed, all gatherings of 100+ humans are prohibited, many people are working from home, employers are shitting themselves and the government wants anyone who has even the slightest cold to stay at home. Even some hospitals have been closed because they had too many infected staff members... That's probably not all of it, too.

There's also a run on toilet paper, which is very annoying. Surprisingly, the schools are still open.

It's all going great here in the Netherlands! :')

Work, no. School, yes. I have two classes that need to be there in the studio to work on stuff, and even if we were allowed to go in there, everything was thrown off by extending the spring break.

I'm a teacher. The provincial government today announced that classes are cancelled but teachers are still to go to work. We'll find out tomorrow what the plan is. The province has said that it's up to individual districts to decide whether teachers are to work from school or from home.

Final government exams for graduating students will still happen in June. This implies that we're going to have to provide online learning opportunities. I don't know about elementary teachers, though. They'll have to do something.

Nothing definitive yet, but it probably will. Even if we stay open, we've closed the dining room and are offering take-out service only, and may be offering some delivery (which we don't normally do). Classes have been cancelled, so I've got more free time in which I could be scheduled, but I don't know how my schedule will change just yet.

As of today, yeah. Got word earlier of a "partial lockdown" of the hotel. Which is stupid, because apparently all that means is that our computers have been relocated to the hotel next door. Our doors are chained shut, but everyone can just come to the other hotel and we can send them to their room at the locked one(rooms are located in a separate building). So... We're still going to be there checking people in, just from a different building. I don't really see a point to that.

Though, they're just having one front desk person run both systems, so most likely lots of cut hours.

While my schedule is unaffected, my workplace now closes daily between midnight and 5am, as opposed to being open 24/7. My shifts tend to be either 6am to 2:30pm or 10:30am to 7pm, depending on when they need me that day.

Meanwhile, other stores by me are closing at 7, and opening not too long before my work shifts start this week, which is annoying because people have finally stopped flooding the supermarkets long enough that I want to grab some groceries, but can't. I get off work as those stores close, and trying to go to them before work, dropping the groceries off at home, and heading back that same way to start work is impractical at best. I can hope things hold up until Friday so I can stock up for a couple weeks, but things are spiraling day after day.
