Can't, it's already all gone. Luckily we happened to buy a big pack before all this started. Also, we bought a bidet to greatly reduce the amount of TP we require now but also going forward.

Those that buy their TP from places like Costco already are "hoarding" if they bought one recently the minimum size there is I believe like 24 rolls or something. Unless you have a house full of people that would last most people at least 5-6 months.

Thats why we buy it there or at Sams Club. It lasts longer. We just received our one big package in the mail so we should be good for awhile. Only my mom and I here now to use it anyway.

I didn't know the coronavirus was a rumor.

The rumour was that toilet paper factories in China were shutting down due to the coronavirus and it was going to cause a massive shortage, sparking a wave of panic-buying as people started to hoard the stuff.

Except that rumour was nothing but bullshit, as the overwhelming majority (as in 90+% for most developed nations) of toilet paper is produced domestically, not in China. There is no looming supply chain disruption and no reason to start hoarding TP, but people did it anyways and basically created a self-sustaining run on toilet paper, which may be the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard.

No, but the wife and I were running low when this started and we usually buy in bulk at Costco so we only have to shop for it every couple of months and they were cleared out when we went. Just went to Target and snagged some instead.

I wonder if we would slow the toilet paper shortages if every household voluntarily decided to buy no more than one roll a day---not one roll from one store and one roll from another, but one roll total.

I always try to have like 12-16 rolls spare. Shit doesn't expire so theres no reason at all to wait until you are almost out to buy more.

I tend to buy 1 20-pack at a time, lasts for months, and the last time I bought one was just a few weeks before this whole thing started, so I'm in good shape without hoarding.

I'm seriously frustrated because I'm on the waiting list for contractors to come install a clos-o-mat toilet in my home (a toilet that washes and dries your bits with no need for toilet paper) - partly because my shoulders and wrists dislocate when I wipe because of the angles at which I have to move my arms. I hope they'll still fit it.

I certainly hope people can find what they need during this time. I was rather surprised to find people suddenly posting on this thread after a week. These days I can't find a loaf of bread in a nearby store that would normally have it. I may have to walk farther.
I would also like to suggest if someone is buying up supplies people need now, just to make a profit, to get your souls in order. Your scum for trying to price gouge people.
