France, Spain and Italy are all long-standing Christian or Catholic countries with roots that stretch centuries back past the US, and all three cultures are historically more chill about sex than the US is. The issue is that your country was found by a bunch of stuck-up prudes who went to war for their independence.

Violence has been in the DNA of your country from its very start, and the people who settled the USA were the sorts of freaks who would rap someone across the knuckles a hundred times for getting handsy before marriage. This is an American problem, not a Christian one - name a nation with Christianity in its roots, and 9 times out of 10 you're not going to get America's bizarre hangups.

"Doing the adult" has been a thing since forever, mostly because kids see sex anyway and have no idea what's going on.

Why is it the states job to teach kids this shit? Schools are for math and science and academic things. Sex and relationships can and should be explained by parents when theyre ready. The kids will discuss it amongst themselves anyways, its not like if the school says nothing they'll all believe babies come from a stork.

Because why draw the line at this bit of factual information they need to learn?

Parents are largely stupid and we send children to school so they can (hopefully) learn properly and have the full facts of things and not biased or poor teachings the parents themselves have.

Many parents simply WON'T teach them as well and all that leads to is more STDs and pregnancies as teens are GOING to fool around and fuck. They are starting to get full of hormones and if they aren't taught these basic facts about sex they will make the basic mistakes very easily.

To be fair, a couple of those countries also participated in that war. I'm not sure how well Canada does their sex ed.

Cuz its funny but its true. However after thinking about it, its more a product of our society than the fault of schools that try to protect and educate kids. They probably are better off learning about sex in a safe environment instead of relying on parents to do the 'right thing'. Or god forbid, getting pregnant as a teen, which is bad for the kid and everyone else. I can admit when im wrong.
