Ehh, I respect coworkers and I use whatever pronoun people want. But I dont like that entitled attitude you are pushing. Youre saying no one has given you a good reason (whatever that means) for not respecting people, but no one actually owes you or anyone else that. You cant just demand respect. My buddy corrected the dude who was being a dick, and he said that he would never use the correct pronouns and blah blah blah so my buddy told him that he has to if he wants to work. So he threw a hissy fit and got sent home.

And what gives the dude the right to demand I alter my speech for them over the rest of the world? Cause they asked? It's one thing to say I wish to be referred to as Hulk and not Terry. Just use the name on their name badge. Chances are everyone else there will know exactly who you're referencing.

It's not that big a deal to use a term like 'they'. But it's also not that big a deal to internalise a hearty "well, fuck you too then!" and move on when someone won't use it.

Most stable people aren't extreme on either side of this issue. This is why people use each other's name. And if a personal pronoun isn't correctly used people correct themselves or someone corrects them and both move on with their lives. But it's CE so trolling with a hypothetical to stir the pot isn't a surprise.

I feel the whole pronoun situation, and the restroom situation would be solved by clarifying that they refer to genitals. "this restroom is for penii", "this restroom is for vagoos". "This pronoun is for people with penii", etc.

It's not offensive/misgendering/not recognizing the trans state since it refers to the organs

Dude, I remember when the SJW culture first popped up. It was a nice gesture, people wanting to show support and bring attention injustices but they didn't know how to do so in a more active and tangible manner. Now it's crippling culture. These things didn't pop up over night, but over the course the previous decade and the country has never been more divided with no end in sight.
