I had a friend over but I can't sleep when there is someone else around (I just rent a room) so I was up all night even though he crashed on the floor. So around 4 am, I was hungry and ordered Mc D's delivered. I got him a couple sausage mc muffins as well (although he only ate one...I munched the other). Anyway I ordered the bare min ($10) but after taxes and all that it was about $15.

It was snowing here today and it's dark and cold (and raining now). I couldn't drive, but I could walk, but I think walking in 35 (probably colder now) degree rain isprobably not a good idea.

So I just ordered chineese food delivered but it's over $20, so much for budgeting how much I'm spending on food.

Tomorrow I HAVE to wake up early enough that it's still light out so I can go grocery shopping. I also desperatly need water. I'm gonna be forced to drink tap water tonight (and the tap water here is horrid). I was planning on going shopping the day before yesterday but my friend came over and then stayed the night, and then he was here till like noon or so, and I finally crashed, but I didn't wake up till 5pm and it was already dark (not tomention it had snowed a bunch earlier).

Getting old really sucks. WhatI actually need to start doing is ordering safeway delivery since it's cheap or free dpeending, and I can at least make food and get my water that way. In fact, I think I will go on the site right now and see if I can put in an order for tomorrow and then at least I will have water for sure, and probably food to eat as well.

Man, you really take driving for granted when you can do it easily. There are alot of disadvantages of having really bad eyesight (for instance my doctor doubled my linsinipril perscription to 40 mg, but didn't mention it now came in just 1 pill a day, so for the last 30 days or so, I was taking 2 of them (80mg, up from 20 before). Now I have almost none left and at least an explination why I have been extremely tired and sleeping alot for the last month lol. I need to call tomorrow about that actually, but yeah, I couldn't see the writing on the bottle to tell it had changed (I used a magnifying glass when I called to renew because it was out and they were like, nope, you can't get more till the end of Feb lol).

Blah, I really need to move somewhere next to/near a grocery store and a few places to eat. The only place near here is Jack in the box which I abhor AND is expensive and it's still a good half mile to it.

That is good they are too expensive. I need to figure somethign out so I stop having to do that. Trying to set up an order online for safeway tomorrow but the prices are higher, so it's probably not worth it, havn't even gotten to the delivery price yet.

It would be nice if only for 1 time so I can get a bunch of the waters and not need to carry them all in myself. I'd get like 10 of them that way hehe.

But like the ground beef (80%) is on sale for 2.99 which is decent, but you can only get the max pack if you order online (which is like a freakton, like 6 pounds or something). I would have to freeze some of it, and I hate frozen ground beef. If I go in the store I can just get a pound for 2.99 though which would be perfect.

It's just snowy/rainy cold and gets dark super fast here right now. It's the worst time of the year for me. I need to remember this in spring/summer so I'll be motivated to try and move somewhere better. Problem is i'm fine then, and don't remember this part of the year very well, so I may not move.

I sometimes wish I can get food delivery but I cant because of where I live. Its even too far for the post office to actually deliver our packages. (Well, that one is because theyre too lazy.)

15% of your order total is the basic charge. Some places have a delivery fee though (Mc D's is 1$ for instance). You can get specials though that offset the price like Mings is $8 off an order of 30$ or more (which basically covers the 15%).

There is a $2 charge if it's under $10 as well, so for instance when I order MC D's I make sure it's just over $10, then it's $1.50 for the 15%, $1 for the delivery charge and $2 for the tip (you don't have to tip that much but I do...min tip is 10%.

So I basically get $10 worth of food for $15 and the net total cost for delivery is $5.

Mings though ends up being a bit less, but I tip more so it's still around $5.

Lol, you must be really privileged to have never lived somewhere that the water tastes horrid. Will it kill you? Probably.......not? Do you want to drink something that tastes like it came from a toilet bowl? Nope?

And it doesn't have to be the city/place you live, it can be the pipes etc in the house if it's older etc.

I've used the tap water at many places in the past, in the city even, but I have also even worked at schools where the water tasted bad (but you kinda got used to it.........eventually).

The water here is bad enough that my roomates filter it before cooking with it upstairs. I always bought gallons of water myself even in Gilroy etc (where the water isn't bad), because it's cheap, and portable already. It costs me about 50 cents a day max.

But here it's not really a choice, you CAN drink it, but you wouldn't want to, and when I do, I feel slightly sick (luckily I don't get actually sick, but I have to drink water while I sleep (mouth gets really dry) and if it's the tap water it tastes bad enough to wake me up.

So yeah, it's a pretty big deal for me to be out and need to drink tap water here. I should just collect the rain actually, it would probably taste better (I did go shopping today though and got 4 gallons of water so i'm good for now).

If Safeway's delievery service is likely without a delivery fee, then personally I'd opt to do that over Uber Eats myself. Funny you did write about Uber Eats, since once I did download that app to see which places(a mix of mom and pop places, plus a few fast food/casual chains) deliver via that app. Forget if any of the sit down chain restaurants use this app, but I did see some sit down mom and pop restaurants deliver via this app.
