Thor 2 is a good movie. Better than 1.

Least favorite note counting Hulk is probably Captain America. Kinda boring and not super hero-y enough.

Iron Man 3, pretty handily. I think the only thing I really remember / like about the movie was the Mandarin.

Still haven't seen Hulk or Dark World, though.

Iron Man 3. Thor 2 might have topped it but it ended up playing a larger role in the MCU due to having an infinity stone in it, so IM3 wins (loses).

There's literally an in-plot reason for that though.

He basically spent most of the time in between Avengers and IM3 churning out a bunch of suits due to his PTSD and rushing through their production. It's why he goes from Mark VII in Avengers to Mark 42 in IM3 only like 6 months later. By comparison it took him a whole 10 years to go from the Mark 42 to the Mark 85 in Endgame.

I thought Ant-Man and The Wasp was a fun time. It was really meant to be a palate cleanser after how heavy Infinity War was.

I'm not getting it confused for something else am I?

Wasn't that the one where Tony manages to trick the other dude into walking over to the impending explosion like an idiot, and then Tony, in the weaker suit, with his helmet off and directly in the line of fire from the explosion, survives, while the other dude, with the stronger suit, fully armored, receiving a glancing blow, dies, right?

Because that was the dumbest climax I have ever seen to any movie.

Ant-Man and the Wasp
This is my choice as well. Ant Man and the Wasp is the definition of a phoned in, paint-by-numbers, homogenised Marvel sequel.

Iron Man 3 was a fun movie where Tony Stark went around ganking dudes. "urr it doesn't have any iron man in it!" - shit complaint that misses the point of the movie. The twist and villain is just kind of there, but it's a fun little action flick that doesn't rely on the big-dick Disney CGI for a majority of the movie.

The original Ant Man? Not perfect, but it offered something different to the MCU in a similar vein to how the first Guardians of the Galaxy offered something different. It had its Marvelisms, and its best aspects are suspected to be left over from Edgar Wright's original vision for the movie while the bland parts are considered to be Marvel shoehorning shit into it - but it was a great movie before Guardians 2's "set-up comment, set-up comment, joke" script boiled Marvel humor down to a homogenous science, and before Ant Man and the Wasp lowered the material to cheap, almost forced proportions.

I dont see how people can not like Tony in impartial Iron Man armor kicking ass in IM3. His finishing move at the end with the self destruct armor was also badass as it should be his new lvl 3 in the next Marvel v Capcom game.

The choreography in Iron Man 3 is the best in the MCU in fact. Isnt that the movie with the LEGIT parachute save sequence? No green screen or anything?

Ant Man and the Wasp had Ghost. Automatically bumps it over any movie with a forgettable villain. Unfortunately, that leaves the first two Thors or Iron Man 2.

The issue with Ghost is that even with the awesome CGI behind her abilities and cool-ass design, she's wasted on a bland, homogenous Marvel sequel.

I liked Ghost in this movie, and I liked seeing Lawrence Fishburne show up. This movie had an excellent cast, great character designs and potential to be one of the spearhead Marvel comedy movies alongside Guardians and Thor Ragnarok. Instead, its excellent cast of Michael Douglas, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Walter Goggins, Michael Pea, Randall Park, Michelle Pfeiffer and Lawrence Fishburne are slotted into the most samey Marvel plot framework, and not even Paul Rudd, Michael Pea, Randall Park and Lawrence Fishburne's charm or chemistry as actors can save what is one of the blandest nothing-plots in the MCU.

It is genuinely such a shame to me that it simply exists in this sort of limbo state, what with the pedigree of its actors and the shaky but solid foundation movie from which it spawns. Ant Man and the Wasp is the movie equivalent of empty calories to me, and in regards to criticism of movies that hinge on "this movie only exists to set up infinity war/endgame", this movie is the poster child for that complaint for good reason.

You said a lot of stuff that can be said about Thor Ragnarok. Which is easily the most overrated movie in the MCU. Literally only liked because of the tone shift into generic MCU movie # 20.

Dunno why Ant Man and the Wasp gets zero leniency. Its basically a game of hot potato. But it works.

I understand that this is all subjective, but I feel like Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeff Goldblum and Tom Hiddleston carry Thor Ragnarok with their chemistry. Is Ragnarok overrated? Sure, every man and his dog defaults to Ragnarok as their favorite Marvel movie and if you're sick of bland, forced jokes in Disney properties like Marvel or Star Wars, it might be a hard pill to swallow. But after a generic first movie and a poorly received sequel movie, Thor 3 found what many people considered to be Thor's heart. I genuinely love that movie's set design, characters and actor chemistry.

I can't remember Ant Man and the Wasp's set design. I barely remember the plot - Michael Douglas hates Paul Rudd because he misused the Ant Man suit in Civil War, and he needs help finding his wife. Evangeline Lilly is the Wasp, and is generally pretty proficient in beating up bad guys in pretty standard action scenes. Stretch that out to around 2 hours and you have a Marvel sequel.

And it's like, Paul Rudd was excellent in Endgame. He was involved with the plot, he was clever and funny and genuinely pretty deep. He's the audience surrogate in the start of the movie, and he sells the bafflement and despair of a person who only now knows about the 5 year time skip. But outside of learning magic tricks for his daughter, I couldn't tell you if he's all that entertaining in Ant Man and the Wasp. Every performance in that movie rolled off my back like water off a duck's back. Michael Douglas, IMO, phoned it in. Lawrence Fishburne, for the most part, phoned it in. The conflict with Ghost was kind of a waste of time in the long run, and while I liked Ghost and I hope she comes back, she spends most of the movie combatting the main cast before we learn the circumstances behind her condition and the movie tries to pull a redemption arc.

Maybe I'm too invested in this, but nothing about Ant Man and the Wasp felt right. It felt wooden, and even when the movie did stuff I was hoping it would do, it barely registered to me even with like a triumphant theme behind it to signify that it's a Good Thing that Happened. Lots of Marvel movies are like this conceivably, but none of them feel as empty and forgettable as Ant Man and the Wasp. It had everything going for it, I love the cast members, but the end product was such a cookie-cutter Marvel plot with bland dialogue, bland environments and excellent story beats and potentially entertaining character moments that are brought down by a weak script and a plot that goes absolutely nowhere.
