Welp, finished the event, that was a pretty wild ride
I can see why it was said the harder CT maps made them revamp the difficulty in future events though, although the most annoying ones are really the obtuse gimmick ones and the Typhon maps (My Typhon gunboat game is still pretty weak because I have butterfingers so I just play tag with them lol), all of which are Chapter 3

I kinda dig that the Ranking map has a Pacifist hidden achievement lol, muh sam fisher/snake gameplay


That aside, randomly finally got a Groza while doing another one of the hidden achievements - Though of course I never really went out of my way to farm her in the first place in the other events

I think there's one more scene after the last stage, White Doll, that only unlocks if you've played and seen all the stages and endings of the event up to that (not counting the ranking map). It's called "Exile". I still have to beat White Doll two more times (you have to beat the last stage three times to finish Chapter 3), so I'll post what the last thing entails once I get there.

Speaking of which, I should post the secret achievement requirements. The rewards are the same for all of them: 5 Cores, 1000 of all four resources, and 1000 Commander EXP.

Chapter 2: "Support"
Clear the stage without deploying any HOCs.

Chapter 2: Defense Outpost 3
Cause the hostage to die by performing the rescue with a dummy echelon and then suiciding/retreating in a fight.

Chapter 2: General Offensive
Destroy the only tank on the map

Chapter 2: For the Future
Step on the ?? nodes on the east end of the map to make a KCCO unit join your side.

The ranking map
Rescue the hostage while it's still at full HP without participating in a single battle. (Pacifist ranking run)

Quicker than expected at 27 runs. 3-9 farming seemed a much bigger drain on resources and time overall, so I just did the partial 1-9 run - It's also just a two-click plan-restart which was nice for just running in the background while I do other things.
Now I can finally reunite Cano and Ceno in style

Got Mk12 as a random drop from Scarecrow, which was a nice little prize. Also got a dupe of some other limited one (previous monthly reward?), but I dunno if it's even levelled up enough to use for a dummy link. Haven't attempted to grind seriously yet, but I do want to get 1-2 Pythons by the time the event ends. The only other HG I have dupes of is Contender, I think.

Okay, I just finished the epilogue stage "Exile"; it's just a story-only thing with cryptic hints at the future of the story and the only reward from it is 200 Pure Samples. Don't stress about getting it unless you really want to 100% everything; you aren't missing much. Besides, I'm sure someone will upload video spoilers of all the event's dialog soon enough.

Grinding Python on 1-9 seemed like a chore, so I'm gonna go for the devil shotty. On its first appearance, if you go down the left-hand side of the map, you fight five battles and the last three all have a drop chance.

If you only get three checks per M870 farm on that level, I wonder why the route wastes time resupplying? The way I do does three checks in only seven moves, albeit with some rations thrown away when your restart.

I got M870 as well. I tweaked the route a bit where I deployed a second dummy echelon after capturing that one heliport and killing off the last enemy in my way that doesn't drop her. By doing that, I was able to get five checks out of the six instead of three and was still able to have enough points to get back and properly withdraw before restarting (saved a lot of rations that way). I was lucky - it only took 24 attempts before hoxy shotgun dropped.

Now I'm farming for A-91 using this older guide from when the event was on CN:

After I get her, all that's left for me is Mk 12 and Python for event dolls. I'm seeing if the former will drop while grinding for crates while still deciding what stage I want to grind for the latter on. After that, it's off to the ranking map.

I still need the drunk and Python, too. Neither map I've seen so far looks very fun to grind on, though.

BTW, it says one of the packages for march is a ring + 500 tokens + something apx. 500 gems. That might actually be worth getting.

The map for A-91 has a boss battle on the route so you can just use it to replace your daily Scarecrow runs until you get her, was what I did

I haven't really seen it worth going for the extra node as per the guides; this hits all 3 drops on the map in my experience. At any rate, got my second Python, so doubt I'll run this map again.

Ranking's still fairly relaxed as of now, I'm at 11% with 250000ish points which is a slightly lower roll for the Pacifist run

Yeah, I did the run a few times with AK-12 as well; both her and G11 are pretty good for soloing the mobs in a timely manner whilst taking next to no damage.

The Leap Year Package isn't a bad offer, IMO. It's essentially about 1,000 gems off the cost of 500 tokens with some extra goodies thrown in to sweeten the deal. I have to laugh at the "Limited to 1 purchase every 4 years" part.

The March Special Offer Package is the usual thing; I could take it or leave it. It's basically an Oath Certificate with extra goodies. The Daily Special bundle is the same as this month.

Got her in 48 attempts of Griffin Expendables. That went pretty smoothly. All that's left for farming is Python and the remaining crates! I need to make sure I don't go too crazy on farming this time like I did farming for Five-seveN copies in Singularity...

Yeah, chapters 1 and 3 are the really straightforward ones as far as routing goes. Chapter 2 is a little tricky to keep track of (comparatively), but nothing too bad. It's a good thing backtracking doesn't undo your progress in what you've unlocked, unlike in Singularity before it was removed there or this would be painful.

If you're feeling adventurous while farming for Python, I've marked the enemies that drop her in Stumbling Block since it's a night map and you can't see all of the initial spawns right away. It looks like you can run through the drop checks faster but it's a lot more risky.

Mark gave me a lot of trouble. But I eventually decided to use Illumination Fairy to snipe the AA towers so I could Parachute Fairy on the helicopters pads that you can't normally access to prevent the spawns each turn to make it easier to defend the supply line.

Gonna start grinding for that drunk gun by doing that Nyto boss map. Takes about twice as long as the Scarecrow one, though, so that sucks.

You can snipe that with your HOCs though, which you'll be bringing along anyway

You get 100 tokens for clearing General Offensive in Chapter 2, aside from the 50 from Safehouse in Chapter 1 that's about it I think.

Destroying artillery points? You can either:

• Walk an allied unit onto their node
• using a HOC and then clicking on the turret you want to destroy (if in range)

Note that non-BGM HOCs have further reach, you can see what tiles they can support/hit when clicking on them.

Oh good it looks like the final map of Chapter 3 isn't a night battle. I was not looking forward trying to beat the final boss on a night map.

1) Go all the way to supply point and fight Nyto
2) Go back to starting spot
3) Helicopter out and restart battle

It was taking too long the other way.
