I don't understand how the combo fairy works. I just built one.
So the Wiki says:

For the current turn, the echelon gains 1 stack of "Combo" before every battle, up to 3 stacks. [Combo]: At the start of battle, increase damage by 15% and accuracy by 30% for 20 seconds.

If I understand that correctly, during the turn you activate its skill, every battle will give that echelon one "Combo" before a fight. And for each Combo it has during that turn, it gets a 15% damage and 30% accuracy buff.

So like you activate the skill, fight an enemy and get 15% damage/30% accuracy buff for that fight. Then you fight a second enemy that turn and get 30% damage/60% accuracy buff for that fight.

I now have a sudden and inexplicable craving for cauliflower

As an aside I'm also at 9999 Nu-Fragments now, just waiting for the CT batch of mods since little else currently available interests me at this point. Kinda hope they raise the cap for that some day, considering how many you have to use at a time

Aside from M4 and STAR I didn't mod anyone else yeah, figured I'd just save for the CT batch and ended up hitting cap less than a week before it hit lol

Actually looking at it again I have a smidge over 10k, it just won't let you collect anymore from the Combat Sim after 9999

Me too. I like them for dolls that can be upgraded (x2 EXP from everything and up to a 15% passive stat boost thanks to the upgraded affection cap) and wanted some for a future batch but one bundle was all I could afford.

You deploy them from Heavy Airports which right only exist starting from chapter 8. Once deployed it shows you which of your echelons it can support and when they go into combat the heavy artillery units will fire shots during the battle.

I hate to say it, but I think I'm done playing GFL. I haven't logged in at all for like a week, I've barely done anything besides daily stuff for a couple of months now, and I don't feel any excitement for the next event even with one of my favorite T-Dolls getting her neural upgrade in it. It's been a good *quickly googles release date for the English server* 21 months with the game, but it's just lost its luster for me. I'm gonna finish watching the last few episodes of the chibi short anime, and then I'm most likely done with the franchise unless they announce some new project.

To be honest I've also been considering quitting, but I'm too intrigued about using the SF units. Because pretty much all I do everyday is the dailies and logistics throughout the day, and it feels like an obligation more than a game.

I just have to suck it up until we get SF, which might not be for a long time :<

I would feel bad about leaving a game that I've played for so long though...But it's become like FGO where I don't want to play it but I feel almost like I have to :(

lol

I've also been pretty bored with this game, though I keep playing for the occasional gacha pull. For reasons I've probably harped on many times, GF just isn't as competitive as other big-name gachas, and has way too many annoyances to really "love" anymore. I'm curious how many people finished all of the last several events, 'cause I basically stop when I have all (or as many as I can get) of the limited drops.

Maybe if GF didn't drip-feed its content, it'd be in a better position. I can't be the only one who saw they were going to release MOD3s every several months and thought, "what a complete waste of my time". I think one of the bummers is that the content we wait for usually isn't worth it anyway.

At least IDW is getting one in the next batch, I guess...there's something to be excited about.

I somehow got 6000 memory chips since January, so I can get some MOD3 action going immediately. Who else besides Soppo is worth it? I kinda want to level up IDW for kicks, but if NTW kicks ass, that might be the next one. Not that big a fan of UMP45, but I do like smoke grenadiers.

Soppo is really the only priority of the batch. UMP45's second skill sucks, so you can get away with just Mod1 if you don't want to go all the way. NTW's upgrade is an improvement but it doesn't suddenly make her a general use rifle; it just means she can do some more work in some fights without being relegated to bamboo duty on bosses. Even as a bamboo, TAC-50 is a better option.

Are you buying combat reports from the black market? You can get a crapload that way. I've been doing that for the past three months or so and just hording 'em for MOD3s. It takes a few thousand for the LV100 -> LV115 journey, though. After that, it takes a few thousand just to reach LV116, so it's not worth it for that, honestly.

BTW, for those who haven't started the event stuff yet, the backtrack mechanic is...uhh, back. If you complete a mission in a certain way, sometimes the game will make you "backtrack" to do the next option, which unlocks other paths. To backtrack, there's a rewind icon on the world map you click. If you ignore that and just beat the mission the other specified way, that doesn't unlock anything. Kinda stupid, and something I had to learn early on.

It makes sense in the context of the narrative. You're supposed to be buying time for a team to help you, so you have to choose the bad endings first and delay the true story as much as you can. The story of the entire event is told retroactively by the Commander while captured and being tortured after the events of Singularity. It's the end of Arc 1 of the main story; Arc 2 starts with Chapter 11.

I know it's the commander's story -- it's just a waste of resources, like so many other aspects of the game. GF just doesn't seem to value players' time that well. Case in point: instead of being able to grind an easy map ten times to get supply crates, now only bosses drop them. I've been playing for four hours and still haven't fought a boss! That could be because of the routes I've taken, sure, but things like this are just made to screw with players.

By the way, for those who still haven't found a boss to fight for the daily crates, there's a battle with Scarecrow about halfway through the first chapter. When you're given a certain choice -- fight all enemies -or- walk 4 spaces to capture enemy control post -- do the latter. The map is incredibly easy (Scarecrow has 8000 power) and you only have to walk four spaces away, so you can map out the route and let the automatic movement stuff take care of the rest. Don't worry about the red helipad nearby spawning enemies and snatching HQ from you...that doesn't happen, at least if you finish as quickly as possible.

Hopefully I haven't blown all my luck on the first day.

Seems like the box exclusive has higher rates than the others anyway, if my previous triple Ballistas were anything to go by... I kinda felt bad getting the exclusive early on in the raffle though instead of getting one of the others instead, though like this raffle I was only missing the shotgun (Which I didn't get back then either lol)

Slightly tangentially but for awhile I didn't realize Barrett was actually Redjuice's only piece in GFL, I was pretty sure Calico was also by him until I checked and it turned out to be Infukun

That aside I also stumbled onto Scarecrow pretty early on because I decided to do bad routes first, sort of a carryover of VN playing lol

Yep. That's the recommended stage for farming Crates. It's called Farewell, Scarecrow. You can unlock it by completing the objective of capturing the enemy Command Post before all the enemies are dead in Reserve Outpost. Farewell, Scarecrow can be finished in two turns with only three easy fights total. Ten runs of it gives you your full allotment of Crates for the day (60).

Last, I'll post a farming guide.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqH71gQ3xdg

Timestamps:
Crates (E1-B1, "Farewell, Scarecrow")

M870 (E1-10, "Darkest Desire", Auto Resupply Required) - 0:00
Python (E1-9, "Neural Fragments", Full Map Clear) - 4:24
Python (E1-9 Non-Map Clear, Auto Resupply Required) - 9:20
Python (E3-9, "Stumbling Block", High Requirement) - 12:43
HK21 (E1-8, "Sangvis Elite Outpost") - 15:03
OTs-14 (E1-7, "Fortunate?") - 18:32
ART556 (E1-6, "Peace Negotiations") - 22:00
Mk12 (E1-B1, "Farewell, Scarecrow") 25:05
Thunder (E1-4, "Reserve Outpost") - 26:41
CZ2000 (E1-3, "Auxiliary Power") - 28:06
CZ2000 (E2-1, "Unknown Enemy") - 30:06
A-91 (E2-3, "Griffin Expendables") - 32:32

The difference for Python farming is that the chapter 1 stage is easier but slower while the chapter 3 stage is harder but you can run it faster.

If you've already unlocked Chapter 2, then there's no need to unlock it again. Backtracking doesn't erase your progress with unlocked stages, unlike in Singularity (which is why it was ultimately removed in that event).
