Forgot you can get that 3* HG by buying five volumes of the 4-koma, though. Wish I'd remembered that months ago, and spent money on it instead of buying sheepdogs and stuff.

Yeah, that one has a pretty bland face. I still want it for my collection, but it'll be a long while before I save up enough batteries to do so. At least the first HOC we get is almost LV10 in its main bombardment skill.

Yep, in Shattered Connexion. That will be two major events after this next one.

-Continuum Turbulence (M4 SOP-II and UMP45 get upgrades)
-Isomer (no story upgrades)
-Shattered Connexion (HK 416 and UMP9 get upgrades)
-Polarized Light (still unknown if there are any upgrades as this event is current on the CN/KR/TW servers)

I just realized what I want. AK-12 with her mask on and eyes open in the echelon/MVP screen. At best all I have right now is her damaged look as my adjutant.

Granted shes rarely the MVP when I have ST AR-15 with a 30% damage buff from Vector on the same team, but there are some rare occasions. Although sometimes Im tempted to give AK-12 Vectors buff, even though thats objectively a worse set up since AR-15 would only be be buffing one rather than both SMGs lol

Well I finished the bingo. Got really lucky today and got 3 new tiles by random chance and with the 6 remaining spaces I used the 600 points for 6 targeted draws to finish it.

Yeah, it's under Event Rules on the event page as rule #7: "Key cards and points will be reset after the event ends, and excess key cards will be converted to Calibration Tickets at a 1:5 ratio, and will be sent through the mail."

I have 94 key cards, so that means I'll get 470 tickets. I found that, unless you get really lucky in calibration, you end up burning far more tickets than you expect. Fairy calibration can be especially painful on your ticket supply and resources, which is why it's advised to make that the very last thing you do for a fairy you plan to keep.

I've been saving most of my combat reports for the MOD3 grind. Getting millions of XP just to reach a couple levels higher, and get a slightly improved statline, isn't worth a manual attempt.

Now I understand why older server players have been complaining about the recent event, Polarized Light. The difficulty of the battles has been nerfed into the ground. From what I've been watching, even the enemies and bosses in Chapter 3 are complete pushovers and don't require anything close to a lv90 echelon...or even a full echelon.

I hope Ch. 4 and 5 are different. This event was touted as us seeing "the full strength of KCCO." It would be a big letdown if there isn't an appropriate level of difficulty to match the advertising.

I'm also wondering if the rumor of why this was done is true, that it was because of complaints from vocal casual players about the difficulty. Even if it were true, the difficulty didn't need to be lowered that much. Even Director Yuzhong joked that it's now at "game journalist difficulty."

I don't mind increasing difficulty, but the game just has a problem with how they go about it: crappy night battles, bosses that are 9000 feet away with sniper capabilities, bosses that don't have any tells for their main attacks, introducing "advancements" that rarely help players (one-way slopes, fairweather heliports, time-wasting encirclement tactics), etc. Some may find this entertaining, but it's such weak, artificial difficulty, it always feels like mediocre design to me. Honestly, it feels like they painted themselves in a corner a little bit.

As for nerfing difficulty for events, if there's five chapters, is having the first three in the Lv80-90 range really that bad? I know most of us have tons of Lv100 units and can blow through a lot of situations, but for n00benheimers still using Sten and other freebie units, it's pretty depressing not to be able to participate in events without ridiculous time investment. (I don't think many n00bs got through Ch. 2 of some previous events for that very reason.) Hell, I still remember just BARELY being able to do Operation Cube when I first started, and that wasn't even a fun event, haha.

I find Night Battles annoying in general, but it just feels no matter what I do my units can never kill fast enough without taking heavy damage.

I don't think I find night battles as bad as most people except for the ones where the target runs all over at random (Upon which I just fire up the wiki), though thankfully the last couple night chapters (And Singularity) had the boss simply stay on the enemy command node
Of course I also tend to use fairies a lot more at night (Airstrike, Taunt) to avoid taking heavy damage so I almost never do them without a nice stock of fairy commands

That said as far as Polarized Light is concerned I believe they mentioned that they were separating the actual hard maps as 'challenge maps' which are separate from the main story, which seems like a decent enough compromise - I'm not a fan of locking story content behind heavy grinding, even if GFL has made it much easier these days with the black market and the new starter mission achievements
