TN is ranked very low in overall health when it comes to preventable diseases. We're pretty much in the bottom 10 in every metric. So, they showed a map of the state where each county was ranked and colored based on the percentage of people with poor health. The healthiest counties were lighter red or whatever the color was, and the unhealthy counties were shaded darker. Later on, they showed an income map, county by county as well. I actually paused and took pics of these images to compare because almost all of the counties with the poorest health were also the ones with the lowest income. The healthier counties were those with the higher incomes. So, while I dont think that it is the only factor, I would imagine that the lower average income status of the south definitely plays into this. In addition to opting for cheaper shitty food, it's also easy for low income individuals, who often dont have the capacity to obtain mental health services, to fall into a big ol' pit of depression and get the "fuck it's" and not be motivated to do anything about their health. --- If this signature appears blue, you need to consider not doing whatever it is you're doing. <cite>RescueBC posted [p:931882561] in Why is the...
