Actually thats true of men too.

Though the way I always interpreted it was, "this guy looks cool" opposed to "this guy looks hot".

Are you sure its that way? And not just because you are looking at things through too small of a Telescope?
Does Chris ever suggest that she is wrong due to her being a woman? And if he is some sort of closet sexist then is she the only woman in the game? If there is multiple women we can get a good sample group. Are all the women in the game wrong next to Chris?

Haha true, ruined a perfectly good formula RE4 had going on. RE5 had make it more of an action horror instead of a Horror Stop and Pop.

That's exactly how I would describe RE4 when I played it, and why I still to this day haven't finished the game.
I'm revisiting Resident Evil just recently, starting with RE 1 and 0 Remaster. I will give 4-6 a shot but I'm not expecting much from any of them tbh. RE4 was an action game IMO.

Maybe it isn't, but it sure seemed that way to me. At least against Sheva. It's not it seems directly sexist, it's just maybe it's against her personally lol. Play it again, and just try and pay attention to all the things that sheva has to deal with

Okay, but I guarantee when I get around to them I won't notice a difference between 4, 5, and 6.
I knew back in 2004 Resident Evil was ruined with 4, so I'm making sure to have the action game mindset when I play the 3 of them. I'll probably think of them as non-canon too tbh. Many of the creative team who developed the previous games weren't even involved in RE4 (Hideki Kamiya comes to mind)
It's funny seeing people say RE5 and 6 were too action-focused when many fans already knew it with RE4.
