Of course, most modern humans have some resistance to it, so you're more likely to survive than everyone else, but that leaves you at ~50% mortality with bubonic plague(if some idiot "doctor" doesn't kill you). You're still screwed if you get the pneumonic version though!

So if it goes wrong, I land in a place with food my body cannot properly digest, sicknesses I cannot fight off,a language I don't speak, clothing that doesn't match in a place where they figured witches existed, and an extremely good chance of dying within less than a week.

You would, but that still doesn't mean that you can't end up trapped for life, get terminally ill or just straight up die to other stuff like lack of a reasonable means to acquire finance for stability and independence, famine, unsafe and / or unsanitary living conditions and food storage and preparation, STIs / STDs, homicidal thugs, bigots, jealous fearmongers, slave traders, warlords, wild animals, etc..

Wouldn't even consider pushing the button considering all of the shit that could go wrong and how worse off I'd be in the past.
