Jigglypuff's mainstream popularity outside the scope of pokemon actually creates a large subset of people who would know about Jigglypuff and forget about Wigglytuff, I think.

I don't think Wigglytuff is the answer but I think there's a strong argument for it being the most forgettable pokemon that's part of an evolution chain.

my vote is for tangela or venomoth

took the test for the first time in a long while

i nominate aerodactyl for most forgettable

also pinsir, goldeen, the middle nidos (not f/m or king/queen), shellder, and the seel line

i also got stuck for a while because i was 100% convinced poliwrath was supposed to be called politoed.

some pokemon would never pop into my brain in a million years, but others i could visualize but couldn't name for the life of me (the nidos, the final evolution of gloom)

i never watched the cartoons, though

Pikachu is on another level.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I could be sold on it being Goldeen. It's one of two "just a fish," but it doesn't have the joke factor or Gyarados to fall back on like Magikarp does, so when you think of fish, people are pretty much gonna be 99.9% likely to think of Magikarp.

But who fucking raised a spearow?

Everyone and their mother went with the pidgey line. So while you might remember spearow and well Fearow is completely non memorable.

Even just trying to picture fearow i sort of struggle.

Fearow was one of the Pokemon I used in my first run of Pokemon actually, I liked Spearow more than Pidgey especially since it started with an actual flying move

I always seem to forget Ditto, but most people probably remember it for breeding from later gens.

I'd say Farfetch'd probably. But I always remember Likitung because of Pokemon SNap

Personally I've never raised a Pidgey

Spearow/Fearow has at least been on early teams. Hoot Hoot too.

Starly is actually the only flying type I've really raised though.

You know what they say -- "The early bird gets remembered."

Maybe Goldeen/Seaking for how terribly bland and awful, in-game, they are, but apparently "FUCK YEAH SEAKING" was a meme, at some point? So maybe not.

Sandslash would also be another pick of mine, but I think I've seen more than a few claim that they quite like it..
