to play devils advocate, the only thing that confuses me about this, is that I asked earlier in this contest if someone can be punished for not fulfilling a trade, and I was provided with some latin by the host which basically meant that the seller alone assumes all risk for a trade. But now it seems, many rounds later, that a person is being banned for, either intentionally or unintentionally, not fulfilling a trade. I understand there's more to this than that, but on the surface it does seem a little contradictory.

This is basically why I disagree with this ban

I probably don't have much right to weigh in on this but I do feel like FBike/Burke have been pretty shady the whole contest making it look like they wanted something to go down. Plus after the incident I don't think he owned up or apologized about it.

But that's just my two cents I can really see both angles on this

well again see FFXV for the impact of playrate

hating XIII made me a lot less inclined to play XIII-2, it's a major stink to detach from!

that being said, I would have no qualms with a deep Serah run (or Noel, as I mentioned Opera Omnia boosting for me!)

Feel like actual siblings probably don't play a save my contest like you two though. Especially not with the forced scripted feeling drama you two often have. It's not believable. It's not about the homogenous saving as much as you being the master and him being the slave. Even siblings that aren't overly competitive wouldn't act like that. Dude would actually try to take at some point, not just be a doormat the whole time.

I don't understand the love for XIII-2. It had an amazing concept but the actual execution was a confused mess and the jumping puzzle in the final level was the worst thing ever.

Then again, my top three is XIII, X-2, and Lightning Returns...

X-2 has, to this day, the best gameplay in the series so I'm willing to forgive a bunch of things in it.

Where unethical behavior, even if not spelled out in the rules, can result in a banning.

Tangy's basically got it.

There are lots of reasons one might not fulfill a trade, and 90% of them are at the buyer's risk. Maybe your trade partner gets called into a work meeting. Maybe they just forget. Maybe you agree to a next-hour trade, and the round ends before their save is up. Maybe you have an alliance or NR but they straight-up miss the round. All that's unfortunate but understandable. But none of that is "tee hee I am going to lie about my internet being down and then not be sorry at all."

But also, FBike has kinda been an ass all contest and people have wanted him gone for a while now.

I think it's really the combination at work here. Nobody calls for FBike's head if it's just the single missed save without his general obnoxiousness at play. (I think? Feel free to prove me wrong if you want)

Im a collectible geek and the monster system is surprisingly fun there. I also kinda like the time storyline, theres parts where its kinda shaky but its still entertaining, and I feel it expands some of the strengths of XIII and mitigates some of the weaknesses

Yuffie is like a strong second in consideration of my support if/when Light wins. Yuffie always does well just with casual backing so with an actual main she could probably make top 5 or even the finals again. Plus she could take the crown of most top 10s among the VIIs or whatever and keep her 1st place among them too

Pretty true here as well. Of the three people here I'm closest with -- Leon, Eddv, and KBM -- 99% of my correspondence with Eddv and KBM is off-site. With Leon it's like... 80% off-site? But we've got the social topic series here so that's different.

FBike was 4th in the rush (H3 had 8 saves remaining), accepted a trade to save Red XIII, so Red should've been guaranteed safe; but he didn't save. Only 2 seconds after the final eliminating save does he post saying his internet went down. Not a "Red XIII" save... a full-on sentence that takes more than 2 seconds to type out. Because his internet went down in the one precise minute he needed to be there.

So Red XIII's out when he should've been guaranteed safe and FBike's banned for the remainder of the contest as a result.

I certainly didn't expect to wake up to this.

Secondly, it feels like he is being banned for being FBike. No matter how annoying you find him and his brother to be, one's popularity (or lack thereof) should have no bearing on their right to participate.
