That's what it is for me, probably for no one else but I'm supporting her for redemption.

She wasn't my character last year, or near the top of my favourites, but I believe in justice. She would have and should have won last year. The unfairness of what went down really stuck with me; her winning this year would correct that grievous wrong.

Nobody "deserves" to win but this is about as close of a case of "deserves" as I can think of, and I still hope she can do it.

And I know I think things through too logically but I can't get past (for anyone who doesn't have favourites left):

-If you like Lightning: great, welcome aboard

-If you're neutral or indifferent to Lightning: a save for Lightning is a save for justice, and redeeming what happened last year (for the character, and for swordz, her loyal backer who's had to put up with so much)

-If you hate Lightning: if she wins, swordz will abandon her to main Squall (implied in a previous post). There really isn't anyone else who'll pick up the mantle for her, so poor performances should be a regular occurrence. Your current displeasure at her win will be outweighed by a bounty of schadenfreude in future years... it would be worth it.

But that's just my way of looking at this.

Fang did in fact win last year, and her savers weren't particularly dirty. Just a matter of circumstance.

I remember being mad about Squall (obviously) but no, there was something a lot closer to the end that I was fire hot at Lefty for fucking up.

to play devils advocate, the only thing that confuses me about this, is that I asked earlier in this contest if someone can be punished for not fulfilling a trade, and I was provided with some latin by the host which basically meant that the seller alone assumes all risk for a trade. But now it seems, many rounds later, that a person is being banned for, either intentionally or unintentionally, not fulfilling a trade. I understand there's more to this than that, but on the surface it does seem a little contradictory. I think that's where the community rule probably kicks in though. Where unethical behavior, even if not spelled out in the rules, can result in a banning.

Yeah, that's where the discretionary nature of the community rule comes in handy. I remember what you were talking about, caveat emptor. MZero being late on Vayne and yellowwolley for Vivi (can't recall if thre were any others this contest)

The difference, as lefty pointed out this time, is past conduct was taken into account. As was the no save attempt, Chris also pointed out that in his write-up.
