-in 2017 and 2018 years ago PGE caused fires because their equipment was too close to trees and they didn't care about upkeep and everything blew up. -the state sued them -PGE went bankrupt, but since they own all the power lines and the electricity here, they're still in business. -as PUNISHMENT and REVENGE for the state of california sueing them, they refused to rebuild their structures, power lines, etc, and instead focus on making money for their shareholders. -to make more money, instead of fixing issues, they just shut power off and say lmao fuck you. --- ... I dont know if anybody mentioned this, I didnt read every post, but its because pg&e has terrible, outdated equipment and they dont pay people to trim the trees and debris like they should. Smud does, pg&e doesnt.
