Of course games are political, but you know exactly what kind of politics they're talking about. All you have to do is go on an SJW infested site like resetera. That's the kind of crap people don't want in their games.

It's the same with virtue signalling.

When a leftist is showing a virtue, that's bad.

But when a righty is showing a virtue, that's good.

It's simply a hypocritical way for conservatives to say "shut up!" without being that obvious they're saying that. (to rely on a principle they don't criticize their side for doing)

Anyone that virtue signals is a narcissist.

Good people generally don't brag about how good a person they are.

Incorrect, it means "far left intersectional feminist ideology" in most cases which has nothing to do with women and minorities themselves and more to do with identity politics (ie immutable traits like race, gender, sexuality becoming essentially the only real character traits focused on, kinda like the equal opposite to shameless big titty ninja fanservice pandering but with a side of 'if you don't like it you're a bigot thrown in to falsely demonize all dissent a la Lady Ghostbusters).

Beyond that, it was terrible. Nobody tried to make it about sexism besides the odd cult-like defenders on media sites proclaiming anyone who so much as didn't like the trailer was a misogynist and probably a nazi too.

It was a movie with only the vaguest resemblance to the most moderate of liberal politics that nobody ever talks about except in relation to it having women in it. Its the only notable thing about the movie besides being bad like most of the rest of them. As for the reactions being played by the media and big corporations, welcome to the club.
