I called his joke racist. The fact that was trying to be funny doesn't stop it from being racist. And again, just a second ago you were pretending that it couldn't possibly be what I got modded for.

As for why I got modded, it's hard to argue that it's anything other than targeting considering that I was modded for complaining about racism within half an hour of posting when you had that whole topic of people making jokes about a little girl getting hurt -- any of which would have got me suspended -- and days later nothing has happened.

And it doesn't change the fact that I got suspended for criticizing somebody for calling Africans a derogatory term and then making a highly offensive racist joke on top of that.... which, again, is something NOBODY ELSE would have been modded for.

That can't possibly be a rule, considering I've seen people link to their offenses. At any rate, it shouldn't have been moderated in the first place. The problem is that the new system doesn't even allow disputes apparently and moderations no longer carry comments detailing why the moderation supposedly occurred.

It definitely is/was a rule. Often it can depend on the content of the post, and in this case I wouldnt be surprised if you got moderated again.

Even the 10kls I haven't been able to dispute. Since the new system came in, I'm not sure I've been able to dispute one moderation. And even with no prior moderations, I was getting 10kls and suspensions right off the bat.

Monkeys is a common insult for incompetence whether, co-workers, family, friends, the band,even George bush had a few political cartoon depicting him as a monkey caricature. And I agree it's pretty mean and insensitive.

While normally I would agree that monkeys is sometimes misappropriated as racist in reference to black people, but he also said they were cannibals that barely knew how to wear shoes. So I think it's fair to call it a racist statement.

Well I guess you learned a very valuable lesson tonight.

That I'll get auto-modded no matter what when I post as Zeus? Because even as far as BS moderations go, that was absurdly egregious. The takeaway is that I can't post on that account *until* all the previous moderations purge because that history is turning any moderation into an automatic suspension.

Or that people can do things freely but I'll get modded for them and there's no real way of knowing what those things are? Because *that* I already knew.

I don't care if Reagan was a racist at this point. At the time that was pretty much par for the course and not at all surprising. You couldn't throw a rock in a room full of white governors/senators/representatives without hitting some racist ones. You'd have a much harder time finding one that wasn't secretly racist. He's long dead. Knowing this about him makes no difference in my world.

Again, I've seen people post imgur links to infractions for the purpose of clarification and nobody -- to my knowledge -- was ever modded for it. And while you point out it's against the rules, it wasn't something I'd ever seen moderated -- quite the opposite -- so I had no idea.

I told you almost immediately after you posted that youre going to get suspended for reposting that. At that point you could have deleted it and there was a very high chance no one had marked you yet.

You decided you were right and everyone else was wrong. You were wrong again.

Theres a difference between reposting a non-offensive moderation for clarification. Any moderation that is considered offensive is going to be considered offensive again if you repost it.

Thats a very simple concept.

Maybe he was talking about actual monkeys like the Baboon or Colobus Monkeys.

Unfortunately I was having issues figuring out how to log into gmail so I validated at home and it killed one of the two new accounts. I kinda wonder if I hadn't tried logging in after clicking validate it whether it would have worked... or I should have just walked my laptop down the block and used an open wifi somewhere. After my accounts are in good standing again, I might try to appeal that.

(EDIT: In retrospect, I should have just *emailed the link* to another address I could open on my phone.)

Alternatively, digging around through old email addresses showed I *do* have several other accounts I created then either didn't use or barely used. I could use those, but it feels like a waste to risk them since literally anything can result in suspension and, given that they're lower karma, it's almost a guaranteed ban. I expect Taily Po to be banned since it had lower karma than Donald J Zeus which was banned after one post.

There used to be a notification on deleting a post that mentioned it wouldn't shield you from being moderated. I thought that still applied. Granted, they've changed a lot of shit lately. And, given that the people who troll me on these board tend to be pretty rules-savvy, I'm sure they could find a way to report around it (doubly so since they could then further claim guilt because I deleted it).
