This is going to be one of the grandest and epic remakes, or even games for that matter you've ever seen in video games.

It's taking the first 5 hours of a game and making it a massive, epic 40+ hour, 2 blue ray disc worth of content adventure, completely reimagined and upgraded from the original game.

And there's more to come - LOTS more to come. The scope is unimaginable.

It's confirmed to be a standalone Midgar game. Midgar in the original was, on average, about 5 hours.

You'll be charged more than twice - for instance if you buy the Class 1 edition of the first game you're parting with $350 right there. I know I will be. And you'll be damn sure that you get more than what you paid for.

I don't have faith in modern Square Enix. They couldn't even make Final Fantasy 15 stand-alone.

I feel like they're gonna do Midgar then just cancel the rest and make a movie or something out of it.

Just look at the scope of the first games. 2 blue ray discs full of content for what was previously 5 hours. Think about it.

How do you plan on justifying 40 hours of content in what was meant to be the starting area?

Am I supposed to believe that you can fuck around in Midgar for what was the average length of the full FF7 play through and not have it feel drawn out or padded?

And nice to know this game will be about half a terabyte by the time it's all out.

Considering how much VII has been expanded upon since 1997, with a lot of opportunities to go even deeper into what was supposed to be a sprawling metropolis back then but was heavily limited due to technology of the time, I dont see whats so hard to believe about this being possible.
