If so, it's a really fun tool of oppression, and the oppressed better shut up and get up against the wall.

You can either git gud or condemn yourself to not being good.

When I was in school, I was a thin/not very tall guy who couldn't whip the ball very well, but I was really good at feinting/dodging and catching (to rescue teammates). I was literally playing a support role and I played it well. I would give the ball to teammates who could throw the ball much better than I could, and my team won more often than we lost.

Quit crying and turn your weaknesses into strengths. Tired of the "victim generation."

I used to be a quick little shit, so I was always the first one to the middle to get the ball at the start, and I'd pretty much fling my body at the ground to make sure I got to it first. Then I'd swat it back to the rest of my team.

I couldn't catch for shit so I'd never even try, though I'd dodge like crazy and was pretty good at making a target of myself so the other team would waste shots.

I guess it comes down to a simple choice really. Get gud or get busy dying.

I loved dodge ball in school. I was always so much larger and stronger than the other kids, and I loved getting headshots from across the room. Was really funny when it knocked them off their feet.

Thinking back I was kinda an ass.

Dodge ball at my school played like a class based game, and it was tons of fun. For the most part guys fell into 3 classes.

Assault: these guys could throw with accuracy and or power. Usually the highest priority targets for the other team.

Tank: these guys could catch really well, they would bait throws, or intercept throws meant for other players.

Support: usually the smaller faster kids. They would recover balls to supply assaults with, move quickly across the field to catch bounces, and bait throws for tanks to catch.

There was a 4th less common class, I'd call "the lurker" these kids would be as uninvolved in the game' for as long as possible to not be perceived as a threat, or even in play, and would at some point try to pull a surprise or trick play to get a late game out.

But the game is also being targeted as unfair, exclusionary, and warlike for school-age youngsters; some schools in Maine, Maryland, New York, Virginia, Texas, Massachusetts and Utah have banned dodgeball, or its variations, including war ball, monster ball and kill ball.

But 16 year old white Catholic males sprang fully formed from the womb ready to oppress all "others" from conception. Didn't you get the memo? You're just not woke enough apparently.

Yes - more specifically, I remember that the kid had a lengthy disciplinary history, which included leaving the school in the middle of the day, punching another kid in the face, and throwing a chair at his classmates. And that he wasn't suspended for chewing his food (which, notably, was not actually a Pop-Tart) into a gun-shape, but due to the fact he was running around the classroom screaming "Look, I made a gun!" - the screaming and running around was the cause of the suspension, not the fact that it was a gun, which the judge that eventually ruled on the lawsuit (in favour of the school and against the kid's parents) specifically pointed out.

https://reason.com/2016/06/16/judge-upholds-suspension-of-the-pop-tart/
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/examiner-recommends-school-board-uphold-pop-tart-suspension/

This is the same as the kid in Texas who was supposedly suspended for telling another student he would make him disappear using the power of the One Ring from LotR (which even got a Penny Arcade comic made about it). In actuality, what he did was bring a set of magician's rings to school (the ones they use in the linking/breaking acts) and threatened another kid by saying that he would wrap the rings around his neck and that he hoped he would die.

Moral of the story: when some dipshit parents accuse a school of mindlessly disciplining little Timmy for completely ridiculous reasons, then launch a lawsuit in the hopes of a big payday and the school can't respond to the allegations due to privacy laws, *maybe* take their accusations with a grain of salt until the facts are known.

To make dodgeball more in line with modern insanity, I say that the playing area must have safe spaces around it.

There's a pretty good reason why he sticks to debating the titles of clickbait articles. Forget reading the articles, let alone fact-checking them. The titles make good enough YouTube rage fodder.

The second he gets into his real opinions he's literally in Alex Jones territory.

So which are the real ones? Seems he's just making perfectly salient arguments with a person who is morally, rather than pragmatically, motivated.

Humans privilege other humans with reciprocal treatment as they're part of our very loose group, animals are treated as fairly and animals care to treat us. A pig will willingly eat you alive if you fall, we do them a service by allowing them serfdom and a humane death rather than their zero fucks given approach to us.
