Me personally, from a gameplay perspective, I want to change the way STAB works. I want the primary type to be boosted by 30 percent, with 20 for the secondary. The only 50 percent boost I want to see is from the solo type pokemon. Mostly because I want longer battles. Too many potential 1 hit kill situations in pokemon. Kills the strategy because then it's just about who goes first

I think a better adjustment would be to change the multipliers for effective and resisted attacks. I would go with:

Standard = 1.0x (includes if one of Pokemon's types has a resistance that cancels out its second type's weakness)
Effective = 1.75x (formerly 2x)
Double effective = 3.0x (formerly 4.0x)
Resisted = 0.6x (formerly 0.5x)
Double resisted = 0.4x (formerly 0.25x)

This means that more Pokemon with solid defenses can survive hits they're weak against better, so there would be less one hit KO's as a result, and types that aren't effective against many others and rely mostly on neutral coverage (like Normal or Poison, two rarely used attack types in competitive play) indirectly get a buff because they would do more damage in comparison to super-effective attacks.

Either way, I'd be willing to bet that neither of our idea would ever happen.
