It doesn't look or perform that much better on the Switch than the Wii U. I doubt you'd be able to tell the two apart if you were shown images.

i got a NS long after finishing BotW on WiiU and i don't really have any desire to buy it right away because im not itching to replay it. if that day ever comes i'll definitely re-buy the game on NS though.

just emulate the wii U version on PC if looks are all you care for, because the cemu version looks amazing. Even mid-range PCs can do 1080p with graphics mods these days, and you own the game so its totally legal (provided you have an SD card reader and can be bothered dumping the ROM)

That's exactly what I was expecting when I bought it last night. I don't know anything really but it seems to come naturally with higher resolution. Less white space I guess.

Amazing game but also one of those games I have no intention to play again for a long time. The entire appeal in that game is the sense of mystery and wonder, and once you figure it all out it's not exactly like an RPG you can play again in a different way.

yeah I played my Wii U version and was happy with it, but saw someone steam on twitch and it looks WAAY better, like the difference between the original and HD version of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. at this point I'm not interested in a switch just yet though. I intentionally didn't get one and got it for the Wii U. I don't mind though.

I dont really buy the idea that there wasnt a single copy in a 50 mile radius, as I live in Lousiana and the walmart a few miles from me had that copy when I was just browsing earlier tonight while I was getting office supplies. There's always the chance you're in a very rural area so there isnt much, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt there but I don't get the vibe you really price matched or deal matched at other stores (which for electronics and things of that nature you always should) or ventured online for such things, which you could have probably found cheaper with the map included.

But like I said in a previous post, it's your money your choice. Just know that I will hold my judgment and I try not to be too abrasive but I kinda have to be to some degree because consumers like you keep prices up and drives companies to keep rehashing old products for the same prices again and again, so I do have some bitterness.

OK then. I've already said I'd give you the benefit of the doubt if you lived in a rural area. You still could have gone online. At least with a map you have something extra that's tangible. Maybe you have a collection, something to hang on the wall for a great game and a great world design in a game to go along with that bolsters the few improvements from the Wii U version. I could at least get that. But if you want my personal opinion, shelling out $60 for a game that you've already bought (and I assume beaten?) just so you can see further and have a little brighter colors, I just dont understand.

Again, I just want to regurgitate, this is my opinion and I'm not trying to tell you how to spend your money, I just personally think it's dumb. I'm of the mindset that I've put a lot of time in this game, and I already played $60 for the original copy and more for the DLC and I got my fill of it. I saw and experienced just about everything there is to see, and even if I hadn't, buying a new copy wouldn't have given me anything new to see that I couldnt have by playing more of the copy I already own and paid for or starting a new game. I need a little bit more than a little polish to pay full price again for the same damn game just so I can see a bit further. It's not like not vision in this game was a problem to begin with lol. I'd much rather take my $60 and buy a new game for a whole new experience than use that money to buy the same game again.

But I mean, that's just me. Again, your money your choice. I will use my money how I see fit. :P

$60 was worth the upgrade to me. It's a better version of a great Zelda game, not an second copy of Far Cry 5 for upstairs. Kind of a no brainer actually, despite me making this topic.

I mean hey that's you. My username is WaterLink, I'm a Zelda fan. BotW is one of my favorite games ever and is honestly what got me back into gaming after a pretty long lull. I'm not going to debate you about the merits of the game itself.

I just dont think I'd pay full price again for a game I already paid full price for + DLC just for some polish. Especially when I could have at least paid the same price and gotten a nice map as a trinket to hang on the wall to immortalize one of my favorite games of all time, like a poster or something. Which, btw, you seem to have put no time into considering or looking around for so it just seems on the surface like you saw the game, saw there wasnt many others, so you just bought it. Which is where the "impulsive" tag came from tbh.

But again, that's just me. You've already bought it, go enjoy the game.
