I don't now how someone could possibly have this opinion. The PS1-3 controllers had some of the least ergonomic grips ever that must have been made by aliens who have only seen human hands in blurry photos from a distance. There was no actual ergonomics testing done with them apparently, the engineer was just like "let's throw some vaguely handle shaped protrusions on the ends of a SNES controller and call it good". And his boss was like "looks good on paper, let's ship it". The PS4 controller actually made an attempt at ergonomic grips. The PS1-3 controllers had some of the least ergonomic grips ever that must have been made by aliens who have only seen human hands in blurry photos from a distance. There was no actual ergonomics testing done with them apparently, the engineer was just like "let's throw some vaguely handle shaped protrusions on the ends of a SNES controller and call it good". And his boss was like "looks good on paper, let's ship it". The PS4 controller actually made an attempt at ergonomic grips.
