Megastar Johnny Depp has been FIRED from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise as Disney plans a major reboot WITHOUT him according to Dailymail!!

He was a major lead in the five Pirates films in the past 15 years as it appears Captain Jack Sparrow has finally made his final voyage on the Black Pearl.

Stuart Beattie, the original pirates writer confirmed his exit as the 55 y/o is currently dogging his own personal demons and drama in his life.

Dead Men Tell No Tales was the lowest grossing of the franchise as Disney thinks the movie is in need of a reboot

Stuart said "I think he's had a great run. Obviously, he's made that character his own and it's become the character he's most famous now. And kids all over the world love him as that character so i think it's been great for him, it's been great for us, so i'm just very very happy about it"

He feels Depp will be fine no matter what's next in his career as the franchise he starred in made 4 billion for Disney

Before the franchise, Depp was considered to be a quirky, independent actor that made cool titles such as Tim Burton films as he wasn't known for a big movie star at that time until the Pirates franchise came along.

But his recent struggles with drugs after looking gaunt while on tour with his band and his legal struggles with ex-wife Amber Heard has dogged him in the media.

Bad move in my opinion. The pirate films have been great and Depp has been a huge contributing factor to that. They'll need to top the previous films and to be honest given how good those films are they might as well scratch off the pirates series and come up with a brand new idea to sell that involves pirates somehow. No one wants to see a pirates movie without Depp.
