Thought of these in like a minute or so.

1. Change the way lobbying works/place limits on it/curtail the influence, etc.

2. Change up the way things like patent and copyright law are handled, including but not limited to design space, models, creative content, copying for personal use, etc.

3. Make higher education affordable somehow.

There's a reason I'm trying to get as much information on other duties as I possibly can, am engaging in State-sponsored training, and increasing my knowledge of other things. I don't want to stay in this job for more than two years - I want other opportunities with the State rather than a dead-end bore-me-to-sleep job like this. I'm sure you can understand why I hate the work I do. The only room for growth is through not doing my assigned job.

However, 40 hours a week is still an American problem - most people don't love their jobs and that's in part because they're overworked and thus bored and more prone to mishaps or burnout. Remembering all the strict protocols is a nightmare. It is nowhere near as easy as it sounds...

Then the hard work you're putting into other areas will pay off for putting up with your current boring job. Not everyone is required to have a 40 hour work week. Theres plenty of part time jobs that offer less. The system works it just depends on what people are willing to do to take care of themselves. If someone wants to work 20 hours a week and be broke they're more then welcome to

@Lopen, it's never EVER a "joke" to say someone should die. That is downright offensive and classless to even INSINUATE that it was a joke because it was funny to no human. It was taken with the utmost offense because it was clearly intended to be malicious. I could have been suicidal and that might have led me to do something like that. You just do not know and that is why you are worthy of being a permanent addition to my ignore list. Goodbye.

Also we're going to fix gerrymandering while we're at it by slashing the number of districts to a third of what it is now and having each district send the top 3 vote-getters instead. That way even if you live in a district that's 66% majority and 33% minority you still walk away with some representation.

2: Public option on healthcare. Basically just what the ACA was supposed to be before Lieberman ruined it.

I skipped from like half way down the first page but i'm sure I haven't missed much. the idea of equal pay for less work is absolutely ludicrous and only being voiced by people that have never been in a position of responsibility in a workplace.
Everybody wants more money for less work. However, it's utterly unrealistic. What exactly do you expect to happen on that 5th day? All companies shut? Shops, schools, restaurants, everything? If they are expected to stay open then they need to employ more staff. That means less profit , that means increased prices, that means you are now worse off because you have the same pay but things cost more because the business has to employ more people.

Not sure if this is what I'd actually go with, but the first three things that come to mind:

1) Enact congressional term limits and vastly increase the size of both the House and the Senate

2) Make large-scale white-collar crime punishable by death, and also extend some additional form of punishment to the families of the perpetrators

3) Establish a framework for randomized in-home general welfare checks for all citizens (limited to basic psychological testing and screening for most obvious signs of physical abuse - funding for this and related programs would come out of the war department's budget)

It's amusing to me that 3 would probably exactly fix all the zoning and real estate liquidity problems in urban areas.
