My point wasnt "trump should care about ford too" it was "why does anyone that isnt a complete clown who cares about kavenaugh receiving death threats not also care about ford recieving death threats. Or any other accuser."

I don't know how to phrase this without it becoming partisan but, people on the right are quick to come to the defense of the accused in situatuons like this, and talk about how unfair it is that them and their families become the target of internet mobs and all that. And that isnt wrong. But why does that empathy not extend to the accusers too?

Regardless of who is telling the truth, why wouldnt you have the same empathy for the families of either side?

Maybe the left isnt any better about it either, I dont know. I havent seen it come up here. Everyone needs to have more fucking empathy.

Yeah, no, because that's the UK putting the gun to its own head. They have no leverage over the EU. The EU does not want no deal, but the risk of no deal hurts the UK far more than anyone else.

Swetnick is saying that Kavanaugh did not attack her but he was at a high school party where others did. In 1982. And she says she graduated HS in 1980. And her college says she enrolled in college in 1979 not 1980.

So, am I to assume this means a nearly 21 years old Swetnick from college was going to high school parties and that Kavanaugh is guilty by supposed association because he was supposedly at the same party this supposedly happened at?

I am just confused as to what her actual allegation is.

Apparently this Swetnick lady has an up and down past. She had a restraining order filed on her by an exboyfriend for threatening him, his wife, and child. Supposedly. And she filed a sexual harassment claim at her job a decade ago at Life Insurance in which they settled.

Especially when you say you saw lines of men taking turns to gangrape women at the high school parties from 1980-1983. And observed men drugging the punch in order to do so.

And saying you still attended these parties regularly but just learned to avoid the punch.

Which is likely if true an adult not reporting sex crimes committed on a child.

Okay, so unrelated to presidential politics:

I'm seeing this attack ad for the Connecticut governor's race. It's comparing the current Democratic candidate to our awful Democratic governor. Fine, it's an attack ad, whatever. But then a voiceover comes on and says "this ad was made independent of any political party". But...then there's text on-screen saying the PAC creating the ad was heavily donated to by the "Republican Governors' Association". That just seems EXCEPTIONALLY dishonest.
