I mostly agree. But while I've long since established Yuffie is bad taste, but who thinks Fang is "less interesting" than Vanille.

Fang literally is "Vanille's story but with less to it"

Unless you think tattoo lookin brands are interesting I guess.

I can absolutely see liking Fang more than Vanille. Fang is cool. But Vanille is pretty certainly more interesting.

Anyway Faris/Lulu/Vanille strike me as the only viable votes in this, so glad to see they're top three as of the time of this post.

Yuffie's clear best here. i like Selphie/Eiko/Lulu/Vanille/Relm and they could go in pretty much any order depending on mood. Porom sucks and the others i don't really care about but they're okay i guess.

Well, you're technically supposed to "hate" most villains unless they're portrayed as tragic in some way.

Tactics really wants you to hate Algus though.

I'd disagree with that. A lot of villains are just supposed to be the force you're put up against but many of them have likable qualities.

Like I'd say Sephiroth's main purpose is to be an intimidating presence that maybe brings forth feelings of fear or put out an aura of mystery more than to make you hate him. He only really does one particularly hateworthy thing in the game.

Kefka is pretty intentionally funny a lot of the time. X-Death and Golbez are sorta just about coming off as dangerous and imposing more than hateworthy.

I'd say Genesis is cut from a similar cloth as Algus more than these other villains I've listed though. No one's as good at it as Algus but I wouldn't say Genesis is too far off.
