Man, it's kinda almost pointless to give Cyrus the Sorcerer ability, eh?

I think I'm gonna keep him as a Cleric secondary, while I bring Ophelia and give her Sorcerer.

Or should I give Cyrus that other magical secondary? I've heard it's mostly good for boosting.

Ophilia with Sorc is the most ideal though. She's got better stats in better places and has an extremely useful class in Cleric as the base. Way more longevity and usefulness than Cyrus, though you do lose the Scholar divine skill, which can help magic damage in the late game

Anyone with good elemental attack will wreck with Sorcerer. I'd rather be more balanced than that. Having Ophelia be able to wreck at the same time is great.

Also, man is Primrose's final chapter so anime. Simeon basically invites her to a play all about her life, and then when she comes to fight him, he's like... "Wait. This is my favorite part of the play!"

The Runeblade had his way with me. Got him down to 50% health though, but couldn't break him before the super move. :-/

I guess I'll have to rejigger a group specifically for beating him. Poor Cyrus didn't have anything to do because he wasn't weak to the prime 3 elements. :-P

I really enjoyed this game, but the true boss is such a pain in the ass that I decided to just quit where I was. I didn't really have to grind this game but now that I have to so I can level up my backups, it kind of lost it's appeal to me.

When should I start beating those Advanced Class bosses? I'm starting Chapter 4 stuff now and Primrose is like 48 and everyone else is around level 38.

I tried going into the Starseer cave and I seemed underlevelled for the dungeon. Didn't bother going for the boss.

So I had my Prim at 53 and everyone else in the mid-40s and didn't win, but I didn't go in with foresight of what I'd be facing, so I got a little worked at the halfway point.

Anyway, if what I hear is true, level doesn't matter so much as equipment, so maybe troll around the Chapter 4 cities for good stuff? I honestly should have done that first. >_>

Well sure but for example the first thing I did when meeting Ophelia was go through an ice dungeon to fight some guardian for her, does that count as doing her chapter? Or will I have to do it again starting with her solo?

They write the content as if the other characters aren't there. Once you're done with the content, you just move on.

Only for the first 4 chapters.

Once you complete that character's fourth chapter, specifically.

At that point, you can remove "the protagonist" from the party.

Anyway, I finished Prim's story and now to put dear Octopath away so I can rejoin the Dragon of Dojima. :)

Does anyone else kind of forget learning skills are a thing sometimes? After a few hours of playing, I'll typically think "oh yeah, those exist!", and go use my points.

That final boss is fucking awful. Ouch

Man I'm way behind everybody, just beat my first ch2 mission.

Overworld steal feels a bit overpowered, with 0 save scumming I still have crazy amounts of materials and a bunch of really good equipment. What's extra weird is stealing in battle hasn't given much of anything yet (even bosses just steal M stones), you'd think they'd have flipped those two.

It doesn't actually increase the encounter rate per distance travelled, only for amount of time/steps spent moving, so it's literally always faster, is the point.

I like the openness but this game really doesnt scale well. My main party is all level 45-50 at this point and I still have a couple chapter 2s yet to go.

Game becomes piss easy at those points
