Read Shinigami wo Tabeta Shoujo up to chapter 14. The ending of this chapter really felt like a good cut-off point for the volume, but I still have 2 chapters left to go.

I'm really liking it so far. It gets better and better each chapter, especially after certain characters are introduced. Got some pretty hype moments, and the writing pretty is good with the use of "food" and "eating" as overarching themes. The protagonist is also looking good so far. She's a charming character despite being brutal as all hell, and she also has quite a bit of depth under her seemingly straightforward "gimmick" personality and buffoon-ish exterior.

I must say that having a bunch of military jargon right off the bat makes it a little hard to read though.

Madoka was how I got my brother into anime. I forced him through the first 3 eps, later he told me that he binged it. Then he binged Steins Gate, then Baccano, and it kept on from there.

I hate to say it but Naruto is probably the start of what turned me into a weeb. It's the first manga I ever read which just got me into more kinds of stuff, including anime. The first actual anime I ever watched might have been Sailor Moon, because my parents always give me crap for how hard it was to find it on VHS back in the day.

The first anime I watched as a kid were Pokemon and Sailor Moon, started around the same time and I don't know exactly which one was first. The first anime I ever finished was Cardcaptor Sakura (or rather, the old and butchered "Cardcaptors" dub, but I didn't know better at the time) and the anime that really hooked my interest and made me into an anime fan was Outlaw Star.

First one I remember watching was this old school Toonami show that I watched every day after school. Ronin Warriors. Then my exposure to anime was basically all what ever Toonami aired. Getting more serious into anime was more a recent thing.

Same, I pretty much only watched anime on TV as a kid, whether it was on Toonami or some other block or channel. The only anime that interested me so much in those days that I went through other means to find/watch it was Princess Nine, which is still in my top 10 all-time favorites to this day.

I actually completely lost interest in anime around 2005 or so, and it wasn't until 2012 when Toonami came back to TV that it drew me back in again. That's when I started looking further into things and finding series to watch online, and now I'm a bigger fan than I ever have been.

Thinking about it, I kinda got into anime stuff more through tokusatsu like Kamen Rider, Ultraman, a bunch'a other giant heroes, that kind of stuff.
I don't even remember the first animes I've watched, but I think they're supposed to be Saint Seiya (because it aired on TV right before Kamen Rider), Doraemon (because it's way too famous to go unnoticed), Digimon, and Pokemon.

The first fansubbed anime I watched and finished, on the other hand, I remember it being "They Are My Noble Masters". It's definitely a memorable show.

Just started Chio's School Road. On episode 5 now

Holy shit this series is amazing. Possibly my anime of the year

I got into anime through watching stuff like Slayers, Trigun, and Rozen Maiden with my brother. Then I decided to go watch some anime on my own and went to the OT board to find stuff and somehow ended up watching School Days.

That probably explains quite a bit.

I got Miracle Girls Festival on the vita. It is glorious. I enjoy the accuracy of the stage performances with the source material. For example, the Vividred Operation song has as many butt shots as the average Vividred Operation episode.

No surprise Japan adores pale/blonde, most dark/red I've seen have been second versions or re-colors from Western side. No, Goblin Slayer is one of those classic dnd type setting, but it's pretty gory and about goblins wreaking havoc to people who can't defend themselves, and one dude who was a victim of all that and vows to kill every goblin he sees. He doesn't speak much, so there are a bunch of side characters that holds up lively conversations while he kills goblins.

There are also a lot of rape and stuff too though, but tbh they're sorta just all in the first few chs, then you really don't see the goblins do anything of substance. If anything, after the first few chs, all rapes are flashbacks of the ever so traumatized Goblin Slayer

"Cute girls doing badass things" is my favorite kind of anime. A show like that has been my anime of the season winner for five of the last six seasons: Revue Starlight this season, Katana Maidens for both winter and spring of this year, Princess Principal last summer, and Frame Arms Girl last spring.
