Why did you he even tell her you wanted to make one last pitch to her lol? It's not a business meeting, you're coming off all wrong to her from the start. If she comes to stay the night for a couple of days and you guys have sex, that's something you naturally bring up then. Don't make her feel burdened that she has to listen to some "last pitch" crap, just do things naturally.

I told her to just let me take her out for dinner and drinks is essentially what I said, and she asked why I would want to do that, and I told her why.

Eh it's still something you should let happen naturally. You said you told her you have no expectations from her, but I bet she still feels burdened. It would have been better to just let her come and hang out, then let the conversation come up. If shes still wanting to come I don't see what the problem is?

Well she has to come because I've been holding this stuff for her for well over a year at this point.

My problem is simply that if she's still open to coming to see me, hang out with me, fuck me one last time bringing up some casual relationship that she claims "is not serious at all", feels to me like it's meant to hurt me/fuck up my feelings. She knows that is the very last time we'll see each other, and I've been explicit with the fact that I will not ask her to reconsider again after this.

Sure, she doesn't have to listen to me, and is free to do whatever she wants. But I just don't get what kind of person looks at someone who they know wants them bad, mentions how she still wants to have sex with said person, tells said person she still loves them even if she can't be with them, and knows that that person just wants some finality and is ready to let this go after she picks up her stuff and severs our final ties, and still throws this (alleged) casual, meaningless relationship in my face out of the blue.

I was perfectly ready to handle defeat and move on. But why does she have to throw in my face that she's having some rebound fling with some dude that she claims isn't serious after just telling me last week she still wanted to have sex?

I'm just curious what she left for a year but is valuable enough to spend money on plane tickets for. What's in the box?

Well there's a suitcase full of a bunch of shit that I didn't bother to look at, and then an entire bin full of pocketbooks and handbags, which I guess is worth a couple hundred bucks, maybe a thousand or two. I don't really know anything about bags so I have no clue.
