I don't have enough b8 wrestling-related projects, so here's one more, and it might even fill that UCA-shaped hole in some of your hearts to an extent. I recently came into possession of Face to the Mat, a pro wrestling simulation card game from Plaay.com, and I want to use it to run a league if there's enough interest. You guys help me make decisions about what characters should be involved and what you want to see, and I'll flip the cards and roll the dice and crunch the stats and write up the results. I'm looking to make the fed consist of an evenish mix of actual wrestlers (past or present), fictional characters, and board 8 users, so there are a few signup slots open now, with more possible in the future. You don't need extensive wrestling knowledge to participate, but it will probably help a bit in following the action.

B8WL COMBAT (#1)

-Our first ever match features Macho Man against Pentagon Jr, and there are already stakes on the line! If Pentagon wins, he gets a kiss from Miss Elizabeth! Savage comes out swinging, but Pentagon circles around him and lands some blows to the side. Pentagon goes to the ropes, but gets caught with a clothesline. Liz joins on guest commentary, and talks about how despicable Pentagon is for baiting Macho into these stakes. That must be the only way he can get a girl! Pentagon is staying down for a long time off that clothesline...but he was playing possum! He catches Savage in a leg submission, but Savage powers out of it, hitting a big vertical suplex when Pentagon stands! Macho goes for a pin but gets caught in a chinlock before the ref calls for a rope break. Macho rallies the crowd behind him and scoops Pentagon up for a big slam! Pentagon rolls onto the apron, only to hit a big dive back into the ring! Pentagon's up first, stomping on Savage's face a few times. The ref breaks them up, but not before Pentagon gets in a knee to the throat. Pentagon has a mean look in his eyes, but Elizabeth pops up onto the apron to plead with him. Savage nails Pentagon from behind, but Pentagon retaliates with a belly to belly suplex! Savage is up first and hits a running knee drop, getting a two count. Pentagon pokes Savage in the eyes and goes for a suplex, but Savage slips out and lands a drop toe hold. Macho goes up top for the elbow, but Pentagon rushes him and hits a low blow! Pentagon tries to set up a superplex, but Macho punches him until he falls off the turnbuckle. Macho follows that up with a second rope flying stomp and a sleeper, which very nearly knocks out the masked man before he fights out with a somewhat low elbow. Macho dodges a tackle, letting Pentagon slam hard into the turnbuckle. Macho is going up for the elbow drop again when NIC CAGE appears at ringside and demands a mic! He demands that Macho hop off that turnbuckle because it's an important clue! A confused Macho Man complies- Cage inspects the turnbuckle closely, then runs off. Match resumes.

(While we're stopped though, I think I'm gonna switch to just highlights because this style is fun but is taking dang forever >_>)

Match resumes, and the two men rip into each other with renewed vigor. Pentagon gets the upper hand with a chair shot. Liz tries to wrestle the chair away from Pentagon- she's unsuccessful, but the distraction allows Macho to roll him up! 1....2....3!
Winner: Macho Man

A furious Pentagon chases Macho and Liz out of the arena afterwards.

-Kenshin v. Bison
Bison squabbles with some fans on the way to the ring. He's on his A-game for the most part, but gets distracted once more by the fans and loses momentum. Nevertheless, Bison is able to pull it out with a Devil Reverse and handful of tights.
Winner: M. Bison

In a post-match interview, Bison calls Kenshin weak. A frustrated Kenshin struggles to maintain his coolness.

-Bryan v. Miz
Bryan stops on his way to the ring to sign an autograph for an absolutely thrilled Neptune (Hyperdimension Neptunia). Aww. Miz comes out with Maryse, who immediately pulls a ref distraction, allowing Miz to choke out his former pupil. Bryan's having none of that, though, and unleashes a furious rain of blows on Miz! Miz covers up, and Maryse throws in the towel for him! Bryan scores a shockingly quick victory!
Winner: Bryan

Bryan says he has beaten Miz a LOT over the years, and he wants somebody fresh. Bison, how about facing him at Triangle Trauma? Meanwhile, Panthera comes out to check on Miz, and puts a cat on him so he'll feel better.

(NB: I update the "Event History" tab as I go, so you may wanna steer clear for spoilers' sake until the current show isn't the top of the page)

-Incineroar is here to host Heel's Haven. (there's gonna be a semi-random talk show segment once a show) Also, he can talk, so that's kinda cool. His guest tonight was a closer runnerup to become the inaugural B8WL Champ...it's Bowser! And boy is he unhappy to be here. He was robbed, ROBBED he says, of his rightful title by a lucky win. He continues to whine until M. Bison's music cuts him off! Bison's had about enough of hearing Bowser complain. He's being crying ever since losing that finals match. He was the weaker wrestler, and he lost. If Bowser forgot how to get over himself, maybe Bison should show him at Triangle Trauma! And Bryan too!

-Maniac v. Bowser
Maniac gives a pre-match interview. He's not sure how he can reasonably fight a giant turtle monster (even if he's not allowed to use his fire breath), but dangit he's gonna have FUN trying! Maniac responds to some early power offense with a sudden pile driver, but a Koopa runs out from under the ring and disrupts his followup. Maniac never recovers, and Bowser puts him away with [whatever his side-B is officially called].
Winner: Bowser

A few more Koopas join Bowser in the ring to celebrate! The first of many, one gets the sense.

-Panthera v. Korayashi
Dario Cueto welcomes us to his new temple of VIOLENCE, and puts over these two crazy dudes who are gonna fight next. (I apologize ahead of time if I write Kora poorly, because I haven't seen Marty the Moth so I'm not 100% on what he was going for character-wise >_>) Panthera makes the mistake of trying to match Kora on power early on. One of Panthera's cats is crying in distress at ringside. This rubs Kora decidedly the wrong way...he slides out of the ring, pulls out a knife, and brandishes it at the poor cat! The ref immediately calls for a DQ. Kora puts down the cat unharmed, and leaves with an evil laugh.
Winner: Panthera

-Cena and Mario v. CPU and eddv
Before the match, Dario Cueto is seen conspiring with CPU and eddv. He is extremely unhappy that the World Title Tournament gave him such a worn-out champion, and that is why he wants CPU and eddv to take him out tonight.

The main event is here, and it's finally time to see our champ in action! Cena OVERCAME THE ODDS in Rio de Janiero, outlasting eight rounds of grueling action to triumph in the end. He and CPU will start off. The faces don't appear to be taking this seriously, and eddv throws vodka in Mario's eyes while he's busy playing to the crowd. The heels are eventually able to isolate Mario in the ring....eddv hits the Squat Drop (Banzai Drop, sorta), tags out, and CPU hits Starship Pain! 1.....2....3! The UCA vets just scored a big upset!
Winners: CPU and Eddv

Kora shows up as the heels celebrate. You just saw what happens if you estimate board 8....you're in for a world of PAIN!

B8WL COMBAT (#2)

-Welcome to Champion's Corner! He's your host, John Cena, and tonight he'll be speaking to none other than the big man himself, Mr. Dario Cueto! Cueto plays nice in front of the fans, but Cena immediately calls him out as biased against him. Cueto drops the facade, and tells Cena that he may be a big star and the current champ, but he's the antithesis of what he wants in B8WL! He wants VIOLENCE~, not some goody two shoes white boy with no edge to him. Cena gets a bit heated. Cueto wants violence? He wants edge? Cena will show him RUTHLESS AGGRESSION if he just gets a chance. Cueto tells him to slow down. Cena won't get his chance tonight, but Cueto has set up two contendership matches tonight. CPU and eddv will be rewarded with matches against Savage and Mario, respectively, and whoever survives those will get in the ring with Cena for the title next show!

-Miz is quite upset that he is being forced back into the ring after being savagely beaten last week! He's got a family now! Cueto will hear about this.

-Kenshin v. Pentagon
Quick and dirty brawl that goes quickly to the outside. Kenshin gets momentum back briefly after being rolled back into the ring, but Pentagon catches him and whirls him into an arm breaker! Pentagon mounts Kenshin and unloads a series of punches. The ref tries to get Pentagon to stop, but gets shoved away as the assault continues! Ref calls for the DQ!
Winner: Kenshin

Kenshin is having trouble finding his feet as his arm is raised. Cueto's music hits, and he comes out with Stheno on his arm! She grabs a mic and accuses Kenshin of being "The worst Assassin ever, and barely even a Saber." She thinks Cueto shouldn't reward weakness, and that big strong men like him and Pentagon Jr. should stick together. Cueto agrees after she smiles at him for a bit. He overturns the ruling and awards the match to Pentagon!
REAL Winner: Pentagon Jr.

-Incineroar gets where Panthera is coming from. Incineroar prides himself on being a heel, but he appreciates Panthera's affinity for cats, and how he stopped Kora from hurting one. Of course, that won't stop Incinieroar from clotheslining him out of his boots; he'll just feel slightly bad about it afterwards.

Panthera w/cats v. Incineroar w/Guzma (unless somebody has a better idea for his trainer)
Panthera doesn't appear to be too keen on this matchup either, but that bit of understanding disappears when the bell rings. The match turns into a wild brawl, with both Panthera's cats and Guzma getting involved. Guzma grabs a commentary mic to talk about how much fun his Incineroar is having. Whatever happens here, Incineroar should get another chance to SMASH Panthera at Triangle Trauma! Incineroar tosses Panthera out of the ring, but Panthera catches him on the apron and drops him face first on the steel steps! (The announcers call this a "Cat Eyes" instead of a "Snake Eyes.") Panthera takes just a bit too long rolling Incineroar into the ring, and gets a 2.5 on the pin attempt. Panthera goes for The Pounce, but Incineroar catches him and hits a nasty deadlift suplex. Panthera stays on him, though, hitting big move after big move. It takes quite a flurry to keep Incineroar down, but Panthera eventually comes through for the win.
Winner: Panthera

Afterwards, Incineroar can't believe it. Panthera is nothing but a punk, getting his cats involved and taking advantage of Incineroar's kindness. No more respect, no more mercy. Panthera won't stand a chance at Triangle Trauma when Incineroar goes all out!

-Maniac is kinda worried about this match like he was last one. he really likes the "admit inferiority" result on the chart Kora might be scary, but at least Maniac is just here to have fun and wouldn't stab a kitten or kick a puppy or anything like that. Maybe that makes Kora the better fighter, but at least Maniac is more fun!

Maniac v. Kora
Kora chases Maniac around ringside, but Maniac is one step ahead of him. Maniac grabs a crutch from a ringside fan, levels Kora with it, and uses it to walk over him before giving it back to its owner. Kora controls most of the early stages of the match, but Maniac gets a late surge of ENERGY FROM THE FANS. Kora cuts this off by chucking Maniac across the ring. The ref debates with Kora whether or not this was a hair pull....and Maniac rolls him up! 1.....2...3!
Winner: Maniac

CPU's music hits! He comes out and attacks Maniac on the ramp! Spike Piledriver on the ramp! After CPU and Kora leave, medics come to tend to Maniac and help him to the back.

-Bryan and Bison v. Bowser and Miz w/Maryse
Bowser and Miz are blathering on about how unfair life is and how much this match sucks. Bryan hops out from the crowd and jumps Miz! Bison may be a heel, but he comes running down to help his partner avoid a doubleteam. The match starts with Bryan in the driver's seat, but Bowser battles back and tags in Miz. Miz begs for mercy from Bryan, remembering the beatdown he got last week, and Maryse joins him. As soon as Bryan looks away, Miz drops the ruse and trips him into a Figure Four! The heels cut off the ring and work over Bryan for a while. Bryan feints a Knee Plus- when Miz tries to duck it, Bryan does a sunset flip instead and tags in Bison! Miz rushes in, only to get stuck with an international object. The odd couple takes over, but Bryan wipes himself out on a suicide dive. Bryan makes the tag to Bison again, but Bison goes for some sort of leg submission....and Miz reverses it into a Figure Four! .....Bison taps!
Winners: Miz and Bowser

Miz and Bowser celebrate together obnoxiously after the match. Bowser carries Miz around on his shoulder.

-#1 Contender Match: Macho Man w/Elizabeth v. eddv
Macho is all smiles as he enters. Is he also going to make the mistake of underestimating eddv? Title shot on the line here. Lock up, and eddv pushes Savage into the ropes. Savage slips out and gives eddv a back rake. Ref chides him for that, but that just means he's out of position when Savage turns around! Eddv delivers a nasty looking jab to the eye. Macho goes down in agony! ....After a few seconds, he's not able to resume, and the ref calls the match!
Winner: Eddv

Eddv questions whether Macho even lifts, bro. He doesn't know how many people he and CPU and Kora need to flatten before B8WL gets the picture, but next week he's gonna be doing shots with the title around his waist! In fact, let's make it a HARDCORE MATCH just to make it a challenge! The announcers bemoan Eddv's viciousness, and CPU pops out of nowhere ahead of his match to tell them what they can do with their opinions. CPU grabs a mic and continues to rant against the announcers, against the locker room, against the fans, against small woodland animals, and most of all against some "UCA" thing.

-#1 Contender: Mario w/Peach v. CPU
CPU gets the upper hand to start. Peach senses trouble, and lures CPU away. She offers a kiss, only to slap him when he goes for it! Cena on guest commentary has a good chuckle at this. Mario takes over briefly, but CPU battles back and gets a 2 count off a DDT. Mario bounces back with a dropkick. CPU bounces into and off of the ropes, and Mario whips him into a nasty powerslam. 1....2....3!
Winner: Mario

Mario high-fives Cena on the outside. CPU gets on a mic and announces that this isn't over! Cena thinks this is funny? CPU is coming for him after Eddv beats him for the title!

B8WL TRIANGLE TROUBLE (#3)

-MizTV: Miz's guest tonight is the commissioner himself, Dario Cueto! Cueto talks about how great a card of all three-way elimination matches will be. He's even got three new superstars that will all be debuting in our opening match! However, what he really wants to talk about is John Cena, the B8WL Champion for just a bit longer. Cueto's boys couldn't get the job done in Rio, but tonight they're going to make an example out of Cena, after which you really WON'T be able to see him.

Mario is backstage when one of the newbies arrives. ....wait, THAT guy is here? Why did-a nobody tell him?

-Sonic the Hedgehog w/Tails v. @eaedwards6400 w/Time Cops v. Sandor "The Hound" Clegane
Looks like the Hound is the heel here, despite eaed's bulky Time Cop backup. Most of the early bout is Clegane's brawn vs. Sonic's speed, with eaed hanging back and picking his shots. A temporary alliance between faces prevents the Hound from running away with the match, but he's really on a roll. Sonic ducks a Clegane charge, and the ref gets flattened instead! A bit later, Sandor gets Eaed on the ropes, and Sonic runs over, bundling the Hound over the top. Sandor hits his neck funny on the apron! He's down for the count. A flying kick flattens Eaed, and Sonic announces that the man from the future is TOO SLOW. Cover, but there's no ref. The Time Cops come in to buy some time, and Eaed capitalizes on the distraction. Ref starts to stir and drag himself over, but Sonic kicks out before the slow 3. Eaed picks up Sonic...who hits a Dropkick! Eaed staggers back as Sonic charges up the Spin Dash....and connects with it! 1......2......3! Eaed is eliminated, Sandor is being helped to the back, and Sonic is your winner.
Winner: Sonic

Backstage, Mario is impressed with the win.

-"Macho Man" Randy Savage w/Miss Elizabeth v. Maniac64 v. IhatethisCPU
Maniac makes his entrance first, and he's clearly not anywhere near 100% after the beatdown last week. Savage is next out. CPU comes out onto the ramp with a chair! He's trying to ambush Savage before the match...but Daniel Bryan shows up to take the chair away! Liz pleads with the ref to do something as CPU and Savage brawl viciously down the ramp. The pair finally makes it to the ring. Macho takes a nasty stomp on the outside, and grabs a mic as CPU confronts Maniac. Macho says to ring the bell, because he's tired of all this crap these guys are getting away with! CPU takes Savage out with a dive to the outside and more stomps! CPU gets distracted arguing with Liz, and Macho slides into the ring, quickly dispatching the injured Maniac. Poor guy never got out of the blocks at all. CPU tries to rush Savage in the ring, but he's on a roll and gets him in a hammerlock...then a double hammerlock...then a piledriver! That's it, it's over!
Winner: Macho Man

Bryan's not done with this match yet. These B8 guys like CPU have became a major menace to B8WL, and that's why he helped out before the match. He's glad Savage was able to get some vengeance, but he REALLY respects Maniac for having the courage to do what's right even while injured. This was a victory all around.

-GRUDGE MATCH: Panthera v. Incineroar w/Guzma v. Pentagon Jr.
Incineroar is so busy yelling at the crowd that he doesn't hear the opening bell, and Panthera capitalizes with a quick slam. Incineroar goes to the ropes, but Panthera just pulls him away into a Cat Eyes. Pentagon attacks from behind, but Panthera slips away, and Pentagon knocks Incineroar out of the ring instead. Pentagon and Panthera get in each other's face. Pentagon plants a boot in Panthera's gut and hits a sunset flip. Panthera catches Pentagon getting back up and pulls him into a Texas Cloverleaf, before climbing up top and hitting a 450 Splash to Incineroar on the outside! Panthera slides back in and reverses a lockup into a chinlock on Pentagon. He's got it pretty well locked in, but here comes Incineroar...with a Darkness Lariat! Panthera springs right back, but Incineroar just uses that momentum to catapult him into the corner, following with a Scratch to the back. While the ref is checking on Panthera, Guzma hands Incineroar a large mirror from under the ring. Incineroar breaks it over Pentagon's head! Ref didn't see it happen, so he can't issue a DQ, but he removes the mirror. Panthera takes out Incineroar with a Sling Blade, then tosses the wobbly Pentagon into the ropes...Pounce! 1...2...3!

Incineroar takes advantage of the pinfall to get a surfboard lock on Panthera. Panthera wriggles out, only to find himself on the receiving end of a piledriver! Guzma and Incineroar take turns mocking Panthera before Incineroar makes the cover. 1....2....3!
Winner: Incineroar

Afterwards, Incineroar gives a heated promo about destroying anybody who stands in his way, be they human or pokemon or even kitten! They all bleed, they all die, and they stay down for the Darkness Lariat.

Bison is here to clear up some misconceptions. He is in fact going to conquer B8WL, but he's going to do it on his own. We saw how well it worked when he tried to team with Bryan last week. Bison has realized he doesn't need partners, or managers, or even minions. He's going to forge his own path of dominance and evil.

-GRUDGE: Daniel Bryan v. M. Bison v. Bowser
Bryan is pumped for this! Yes! Yes! Yes! He manages to down Bison off the opening bell with a flying lariat, but Bowser punishes him with a big suplex. Bowser turns to the recovering Bison, but Bryan gets an armbar on him from behind, allowing Bison to get in a couple gut punches on the King of the Koopas. Bowser disengages from Bryan with a Whirling Fortress, but Bison plants him with a Scissors Kick. Bowser surreptitiously gives Bison a taste of his illegal claws. Bryan's had enough, and knocks down Bowser with a big discus clothesline. Bison throws Bryan across the ring, but Bryan comes roaring back with a charging elbow strike. Bison gets a choke on Bryan, but the ref sees it eventually and breaks it up. Bowser launches Bryan into the ropes, and catches him with his Side-B on the rebound! Bryan hits a Face Driver with a surge of power. With Bryan and Bowser both down, Bison looks for a weapon outside the ring, but the ref stops him. Bryan rallies the crowd behind him...Bison grabs him by the beard (hi Kora) but Bryan pushes him away with kicks to the chest! (accompanied by YES once he's driven to his knees) The Yes Kicks almost get a 3 count on Bison, but he kicks out. Bowser finds his feet, only to eat a dropkick from Bryan. Bryan goes for the Knee, but Bowser blocks it. Bryan rallies the crowd again, and gives Bowser his own taste of the Yes Kicks. La Magistral on Bison...1....2....3!

Bryan hits a flurry of elbow strikes on Bowser, but Bowser just catches him in a bear hug. Bryan fights his way out and goes for the Knee, but Bowser catches him out of mid-air! Bowser throws Bryan clean out of the ring, then crawls out onto the apron....Bowser Crush! Yeah, Bryan's not beating the 10-count after that one.
Winner: Bowser

It's not over yet for Bryan though. Here comes Miz! Miz pummels Bryan on the back of the neck, finishing with a Skull-Crushing Finale onto the concrete! Bryan is able to leave on his own power, but definitely hurt.

*Later this week, Bowser would receive national media attention for pulling a motorist out of a nasty wreck. In unrelated news, that passenger is missing several valuables from his car.*

-B8WL CHAMPIONSHIP HARDCORE: John Cena (c) v. Mario w/Peach v. Eddv w/Caelus
The announcers are very vocal about their opposition to B8's antics. That won't win them friends with the faction. Cena opens in a tame fashion with a headbutt on Mario and an armbar on Eddv. Peach slips Mario a Mushroom, and he tackles both opponents at once. Caelus has something...holy crap it's a blowtorch! That cuts Mario down to size in a rather literal fashion. Caelus then uses it to make flaming shots. Eddv follows with a bootscrape on Mario, then steps back as Cena hits the Five-Knuckle Shuffle! Eddv lets his guard down, and eats one of Cena's Springboard Stunners. Mario suffers the same- Cena's really fired up today! Neither of his opponents can see him! Peach can see him, though, and Mario slams Cena off the distraction. Eddv receives some liquid courage to fortify himself, then hits a backbreaker on Cena, who rolls out to the floor. Mario goes for a hammerlock, but Eddv powers out. Cena climbs back in the ring with a trophy he found from somewhere, but Eddv takes it away and cracks Mario with it! Peach casts Therapy to pick him up. Caelus spits vodka in Mario's eyes! Cena chases him off while Eddv rolls up Mario...1....2....3! Eddv starts to get up, but Cena catches him just right with a boot to the head and a strong pin! 1......2........3!
Winner, and STILL Champion: John Cena

Trumpets play. Dario Cueto tells Cena that's just the first hurdle he has to clear! Don't get used to that belt.
