Wasting my time with 30 seconds of either swiping at my screen or using the D-pad only to actually get to something that functions pretty much exactly like non-stop debate is dumb

Don't really like Improved Hangman's Gambit either, and both IHG and Rebuttal Showdown were horribly explained in confusing tutorials, but at least when IHG speeds up it's not boring

They really needed to rework the hangman's gambit on translation. There's one later where letters are flying everywhere extremely fast, which is fine in Japanese where the answer is three characters long. Not so much in English where it's thirteen >_>

ok see this is the type of thing I mean when I say certain parts waste too much time

it's been explaining how the room between the strawberry tower and grape tower works for about 10 minutes now, despite the fact that it was obvious from like the moment you see the room

I didn't want to skip through everything in case it did say anything important but I definitely would've if I knew the game was just going to spend so long trying to explain to me that the grape and strawberry houses were connected

The Free Time in chapter 4 is always a hilarious plothole for reasons that I can't remember whether or not have been explained to you yet.

Just beat it. Anything I say that would possibly spoil anything will be marked, don't worry.

I think it's not so much the game wastes your time by over-explaining obvious stuff (which that does happen from time to time), it's just that there's a ton of fluff. Take out all the Monokuma Theaters, all of Monomi's mid-trial messages, all of the needless banter between students that only exist to re-establish character personalities and relationships that have already been well established, take out all the times the characters remind the player of something that's about to happen, eliminate like half of the times they just toss in some random note about HOPE and DESPAIR (as if we weren't already force fed those two words)... you could easily cut down the game's runtime by many hours.

This game especially the ending was a tedious slog, and the minigames got extra frustrating. I now know much better why Improved Hangman's Gambit is hated so much. Total bullshit.

I need to go play something much faster... like DOOM. Yeah, DOOM would be nice right about now.

Oh and the characters have been not that good for two games in a row. If I had to do a ranking (will spoil mark it, good idea for johnbobb not to look):

Nagito was just too annoying to be good. I don't even care if that was the point of the character. There were so many times when he started speaking that I wanted to stop playing the game. We get it dude, you want the ultimate hope to overcome the ultimate despair or whatever, that's like the point of this whole game as I've been told 30 million times. You didn't need to tell me again. Thanks.

Peko had no real personality except for being Fuyuhiko's lap dog, and her main purpose was just to make Fuyuhiko a better character because her death and Mahiru's death acted as a turning point for his development. Also her voice acting was the most monotonous and awkward of any character.
