Finally got around to beating 4-4N. I gotta say, 4-3N was the hardest map so far. 4-4N is a bit more uniform that you can send RF top and AR/flex team bottom and eventually win, while 4-3N is more compact where most teams are expected to just deal with everything.

But I think easily the 2nd hardest map in the game thus far, 4-3N being the first.

Wasn't quite using the most efficient team either. I was double dipping on training WA

Yes. I do not like her design at all, and I've only kept her around as long as I have because the Single Action Army is iconic.

Does night vision equipment only affect the unit that equips it? Because it seems kind of pointless to equip HGs with it if thats the case, since they do crap damage anyway :<

Yeah, I think so. I've been raising that crappy three-star HG that knows Flare lately, 'cause I'm sick of losing out on the 1-4 night battle. (Spending resources leveling up its narrow-use ability is one of the worst feelings, though.)

Also, just learned that when you're moving around, you can manually resupply on claimed heliports, then travel onward. Wish I'd known that days go -- it'd be useful on some maps.

Honestly the flare skills kinda suck because of how the formula works. The problem is that flares arent negating the night penalty (like PEQs do) but just multiplying your accuracy after the fact.

I would not bother with them unless you really like their design or dont have a better HG to slot in right now. Definitely dont waste precious training data on them either way though.

It ain't perfect, but I hear Flare calling to me. It's great that each level adds another second of uptime, so eventually you can just have it on repeatedly. They should really make it like some other abilities, though, where the nighttime version kicks ass and daytime versions get one-third (or whatever) the strength.

I'm a huge fan of using based on design and how much you like the character. Star Ranking isn't a huge deal for the most part. One of the best Rifles in the game happens to be a 3 Star. So don't sweat it man. You and SV-38 will be fine.
