Whats a good formula if you just want to build new units you dont have yet and dont really care which you get? Or I guess what should I be spending as a meh I dont care just go for something good summon. 450 of each resource?

Once you decide you need more of certain weapon categories, that's when you break out stuff like 400/400/91/30 (for SMG's) and 91/400/400/30 (for AR's) in crafting. Why the 91, you may ask? Because once the total resources for your craft goes over 920, Handguns are eliminated from the crafting pool. The two 400's in those resources are for meeting the minimum to access all the guns in those weapon categories, and the 91 is to make your total spent equal 921, which narrows the crafting pool by eliminating handguns.

The best recipes are those that meet the requirements for the unit/category you're trying to pull, while narrowing the potential craft pool as much as possible and spending as few resources as possible. This can lead to some pretty wonky recipes sometimes, like 831/30/30/30 for trying to get G11 or HK416.

Got it. So unless Im going for MGs (which arent super useful until you can get SGs anyways I assume) then:

400/400/400/30 = just get me a good SMG, RF, or AR

For now, yes. That's the gist of it.

Also, MG's can be useful in early-mid game since they're pretty strong and handguns can still buff them, but they're generally not recommended because of how much of a drain on resources they can be. Fitting one MG on a team somewhere (I've been using LWMMG since like chapter 2) isn't too bad though.

Of those two, I'd recommend M2HB in terms of combat usefulness. She's great all-around, while AAT-52 only really shines in night battles thanks to her skill.

What is there to update lol, the recipe has been used in every version of the game, the game hasn't changed at all.

You mean the difference between 400 and 430 for example? that's just lazy stuff.

If you wanted to be super exact then use this, since it goes into the statistics of people rolling for shit and what recipes they used.

Oh man I pulled some decent 4/5* and rearranged my main squad. Facing core hell but fuck it. Gonna do HG/SMG/AR/AR/RF, less optimal but w/e I'll worry about that later. Someone help me decide some stuff:

HG: Type92 (bae, not going anywhere)
SMG: UMP45
AR: Hard to decide. Got OTs-12, M4A1, Fr FAMAS, M4 SOPMOD II, and Type95. OTs-12 will prolly be in there, and I think I need to settle for another 2 or 3*.
RF: M14 or SVD. M14 is higher and 3x dummy, SVD is 2x so she'll be more core heavy.

Goal is only use 2 4/5* in this party and the rest 3 or 2*. Make life easy early on. Got one locked for UMP45, guess now its to decide whether I want a high rarity RF or AR.

I'd say go with M14, OTs, and either Type95 or SOPMOD for the rest of that team. M4A1's potential is wasted if she's only buffing 1 other AR, and FAMAS sadly just isn't very good.

Well I got kitty AR girl after like 6 416's and 4 Tommys. I'll accept her instead of sleepy AR girl.

Why is it that I have so much better luck in getting who I want in FGO...Literally my first pull I got Scathach. I used a ticket after that and got her again. The instant I saw Mordred I wanted her. I did a 10 pull and got TWO of her. And that's going just by pure RNG. Here, I'm using the formulas to get as close as I possibly can, and yet I'm still without KAR and G11 :<

Just to clarify, it's possible to get any T Doll with any recipe, right? It's just more likely with the optimized recipes on the Wiki?

Some dolls require a certain amount of resources to enter the spawn pool. For instance, you can't get any shotguns with your baseline 1000-1000-1000-1000 heavy production. One of those wiki pages will tell you how the units are grouped by resource.

No. As Shotgunnova said, some of them have a resource requirement (either in certain categories or being above or below a certain total) that needs to be met to have any chance at crafting them at all. The recipes are just to make sure you can get what you want and exclude as much as you don't want from the possible crafting pool.

She's good, but not good enough to be on my AR/SMG team

The Textbook AR.

Jack of all trades, Master of none.

To start off, her stat spread. Her stats are spread out evenly, with stats neither ridiculously high, yet still better than most. The next is her buff tiles - evasion and accuracy, two stats that all smgs will benefit from, but no smg outside of SR-3MP particularly needs accuracy. On top of this, her buff zones face stretch out diagonally from her, missing the tile in front of her. This means that although she'll buff at least one smg at all times, she'll never buff both. Finally, her skill - a flat 75% firepower up 4 seconds in. This is as basic as a skill can be - although it's great, it doesn't have any of the flair that the skills of other ARs have.

G41's strength and weakness both lie in the fact that everything about her is standard. On the bright side, this means that she doesn't have a specific downside, compared to specialized ARs - you can put her in any ARSMG squad, and see similar results every time. However, her almost mundaneness is also what prevents her from being considered truly top tier - in exchange for overall usage, she lacks the flair that the top ARs have.

Legit one of the best overall AR's in the game. She's not the very best at anything, but she's pretty good at just about everything you could expect out of an AR.

Yeah, I'd say they fit well together considering what stats will get buffed.

Thompson boosts G41's damage, and G41 boosts Thompson's evasion, which are the primary stats those types of units need. Unlike for most SMG's, G41 boosting Thompson's accuracy is also pretty good because Thompson does some solid damage for an SMG. However, Thompson boosting G41's evasion is only applicable if G41 is in a part of the formation where she doesn't have an SMG in front of her, so that buff might go to waste depending on the formation you use.

Yeah Tommy is a great sole-tank. Sole tank teams are some of the best teams. The tanks act as a crutch while your team tries to kill the enemies far before they ever reach you, though 4 AR usually gets too crowded and might require an AR buffer or an M16 in the frontline. Also 1 SMG means you open yourself up to add an HG to the team, which if you have 3 ARs or 2 AR and 1 RF/MG, then that team can pretty much handle any type of enemy groups, whereas pure SMG/ARs can't kill armored teams and does badly against those sniper enemies with a strong frontline, and HG/RF teams can't deal with mobs as efficiently.

In regards to Tommy, if you're up against enemies way stronger than you, then she's your gal. Her HP sponge lets her survive regardless of how much she's getting hit. Which when Ouroboros was bugged and her rockets were 100% hit rate (lol) she would be one of the few units capable of surviving that entire onslaught

It's fine for early game stuff, but once you get one of the UMP's (preferably the 45), you'll want to use that as your tank.

From there, you have a makings of a pretty good AR/SMG squad. You can do the standard 3AR/2SMG team, but you could always go 4AR/1SMG, with M4A1 in the back column buffing the three other AR's in the middle column, and your SMG up front. 3AR/1SMG/1HG is another option too.

As for the rest, you have the handguns and WA2000 for a good HG/RF squad, but NTW-20 is really not good for general use. Find a second (maybe a third) rifle for that team and go 3RF/2HG, or mix it up a bit and go with something like 2RF/2HG/1MG or (when you get Heavy Production unlocked) 2RF/1HG/1MG/1SG.

UMP45 is probably the best overall SMG in the game, both for her tanking abilities and the fantastic buffs she gives the AR's behind her. For the 3AR/2SMG or 4AR/1SMG teams I mentioned, UMP45 would be much better to use than Thompson.
