Mission rewards or the factory.

In the factory, you input a bunch of resources, then you get a gun. Different amounts of resources have different chances of getting you different guns.

A word of warning, if you don't have a dodge tank or plenty of HP, you might find Ouroboros... interesting. Don't be surprised if you fight until the very last dummy lol

The Cube 1-4 boss is apparently glitched right now. She has 100% accuracy with her attacks. The same glitch happened when the event launched on the Korean server last year, and it got fixed within a day or two. I wouldn't bother trying to beat 1-4 until it's fixed.

It looks like you already have a good grasp on the connection that AR's and SMG's have, so that's good. But you need more damage dealers, since SMG's are meant to tank and HG's are mostly supports for buffing others. Replace one of the SMG's on the first team with an AR, and try to add an AR or RF to that second team as well.

Do you have a second echelon? From chapter 3 onwards, it becomes really difficult (sometimes impossible) to beat chapters with only one echelon. You could rely on high level friend echelons, but since you can't control where they move, they're not very reliable. I would try raising a second echelon to around the same level.

Like I said, you need to have multiple good echelons to get through the game. By this point in the story, you should have two, and I'd say you should have at least four by the time you finish the story chapters that are in the game right now. Build up a second echelon to a similar level to your first one, then try that mission again.

Tomorrow's combat simulation gives exp as its reward, so it'll be a good day to try and level that echelon up.

Up to a certain point in the game... and you're at that point already.

Like I said, there are some missions that are pretty much impossible to beat with just a single echelon. Chapter 3 is when they start showing up, and unless you want to depend on support echelons from friends (which can be unreliable and are limited in how many you can use in a day), you will need a second echelon very soon.

I did it once cuz I had a lot of free Play Store credit and shit. I think it's pretty good. You're whaling without feeling like you are, and it's pretty affordable. You also gotta be a bit patient. The double bonus during the time I did it was really nice

Is G17 any good? I like her since she reminds me of Ruby Rose lol. But I get the feeling that I'm better off with M9, since stun grenades are pretty cheap :3

The production log shows you the investment ratios that other people are getting particular units from. Regular and heavy each have different p-logs, so you can filter them and see which one fits your resources the best. As for earning gems, it seems so, but it's slow going. I've gotten enough to open a fifth echelon with a few leftover. (You can get gems as the sharing bonus, log-in bonus, clearing maps with gold medals, a few other quests, etc. Some of these methods are one-time-only, though.)

As for increasing star ratings, I heard someone talk about that. It might be a feature that's not in the EN version yet, though.

They just hotfixed the Cube 1-4 mission and gave out 2000 of each resource + 20 tokens as compensation.

If you need tips on manufacturing t-dolls, try using this link: https://en.gfwiki.com/wiki/T-Doll_Production
You can roughly control the types you get by changing the resource distribution. If it seems overwhelming as a new player, you can just go into the production log and copy other users' recipes. It's still random, of course, but at least you're on the right track and aren't just doing things randomly like I did, haha.

430/430/430/230 is a good recipe to start off since it covers the bases with SMG's, AR's and RF's to form decent starting echelons.

=_= Soooo it turns out Ouroboros had an undodgeable rocket. No freaking wonder it felt so hard. Like I can dodge everything she throws at me except that move which knocks out a good dummy and a half from Tommy if my perfect shield isn't up

But basically if you didn't have Thompson maxed, this one would have been veeeery hard for you, but now it's supposedly fixed

Glock 17 has a much, MUCH better design than M9, so I'd say she's much better.

G17 is arguably the most usable limit drop gun in the game, whereas the others are borderline garbage, so yeah she's good.

She's mostly a defensive buffer though, lowering enemy damage by 25% with her skill maxed, and giving accuracy (64% at x5) an evasion (30% at x5) in a really good aura range.

Plus the artist for her is amazing and i'm trying to collect all the guns by him/her, if only M37 dropped...

This going to be fine for some night battle stuff? None of 'em have AP stuff yet, but they all have night vision equipment (other than shorty). I haven't done any of those missions yet since I've been training other teams, but after doing EXP mode and finding I had 6000+ strength out of nowhere, I figure that should be good enough. The goal's to have a team -- maybe two, if I pull back the 4000-ish Welrod team -- and finish this stuff to get equipment tinkering unlocked.

You'll need a second night battle team with Rifles or MG's. AR's can't equip armor piercing rounds (with the very rare exception of 6P62, who is only obtainable as a limited drop in the current event, which is all night battles) and without those, armored units will cause a lot of trouble unless you're massively overleveled. Generally, you use AR's with night vision gear to take down non-armored enemies in night battles, and RF's or MG's with AP rounds to take down armored units. Mixing your teams a bit (like 2AR/1SMG/1RF/1HG or something like that) can also be useful for night battles, so your team can handle both kinds of enemies decently well, but neither one extremely well.

This team was just for regular night battle stuff, not Cube. It actually soloed everything just fine, but it's the time limit that screws things up. Could've sworn radar dishes gave an airport movement bonus, but I guess not. I'll have to get a third unit for Cube stuff.
