Every single movie and time is "peak pricing", with an additional $3.50 fee:

so basically youre paying 3 dollars for a movie ticket?

how is that bad?

if you see more than one movie you save money already

$10/mo + $3/movie? Screw that. I'd literally rather pay for the movie itself (seeing how tickets here are $5 for morning, or $10 for evening, with reservations, which you cannot do with MoviePass), or signup for AMC A-List.

I might be cancelling soon too though.

The film needs to be out for three weeks, that's what my local Cobb's manager told me when he gave me a bunch of tickets years ago. So the same concept probably applies to moviepass.

Imagine people complaining that their unsustainable ticket prices are increasing.

Either they do this and scrape by a little longer, or go bankrupt immediately.

How is 4pm -> 12am "around the same time"?

Also I updated the OP with how much the fee actually was for me to check in; it was $3.50 extra. According to a reddit post, it seems like the fees are anywhere from $2.29 to $4.20/movie.

MoviePass in of itself was unsustainable. It tried to take the facebook route and sell information, but sadly not even they could do that properly.

If this surge pricing sticks, they're going to lose a lot of customers and then go belly up. No way Moviepass makes it to 2019.

Considering how much money they lose per customer, losing customers would be great for them.

I may just keep it to spite them. I really only have to see Marvel movies opening day, so I'll just wait for movies to get out of peak pricing. Until they try something else to lose customers.

Either way, how the fuck are they going to eventually turn a profit lol

the only problem with this scenario is the popcorn, when you buy this gotta have a soda or water too :(. and that comes with a cost.

I don't have Peak Pricing yet. Those prices aren't peak though. They're "potential" peak, so you should just buy your tickets in the morning before the price changes

Oh yea, let me drive 15 minutes to the theater to buy a ticket for tonight then drive back home; then drive back tonight to watch it again. /sarcasm

This "peak" pricing is bullshit. There's no statistics or any calculations/counts going on; it's just "k it's the weekend; pay extra $3-5/movie now bitch".

They randomly raised my fee to 18 and limited my account to 3 movies a month and they never answered when I called so I canceled. Honestly I wanted to get through to them to lift the limit just so I could buy a movie ticket every day and toss it out to spite them, but after they cut off my call after a 40 minute wait, I decided to cut my losses. Screw them, can't wait until they run out of money.

The Moviepass people are dumb. The average subscriber only watches 1.5 movies per month, so they could easily raise the price to $12 or $15 and it would have the same effect while preventing losses.
