2. They routinely commit some of the worst human rights violations currently on Earth on a daily basis.

This is all really about the truth. The truth that Conservatives came out and started chanting and talking about how Trump was going to succeed and win and NOW what is it about? "Why everyone gloating? We failed. You guys shouldn't be celebrating."

Nobody's celebrating but the "I told you so" is coming out loud and clear and everyone's being sticking thumbs in their mouths because we told them so. WE TOLD THEM SO.

I'd like to add in the fact that "This guy is going over there and going to show them the real art of the deal" by my conservative friends who came out and believed there was going to be more to this and then he comes out and said "I didn't do anything, nothing may happen." and what? No confidence at all? Just excuses?

This is the president. Someone who talks big and then comes home with nothing.

I mean, he's right. they just had a meeting and made some promises. they weren't legally obligated to actually fulfill any of them

people just have to remember that if he's successful too though

It was already brought up that it was one of the reasons no other president went out of their way to do it either. That and they'd be giving NK what they want and getting nothing in return but empty promises.

There's 'trying' and there's going over there and doing nothing and admitting to doing nothing and trying to salvage it by that admittance. "I didn't even do anything, therefore....[fill in blank]"

And no one was surprised. Well ok it's a little surprising that he himself admits they didn't accomplish shit but the result was expected

Actually, the real need was to legitimize NK which is what they wanted by even having that meeting. it was all a puff piece for NK in the end.

We've already legitimized NK just by having the summit. Trump also idiotically saluted a North Korean general as well as gave Kim a fucking fake movie trailer to broadcast, giving their state TV ample propaganda material. Kim already got everything he wanted and then some.
