I have. You're wrong. Also, virtually every urban area in CA is booming. Really good place to live now.

Anyway, your use of liberal as an insult tells me all I need to know.

The larger portion of California actually isnt booming, last I heard.

Lol exactly. Proving my point, most Californian are weird and cant even handle criticism over their own state that they blindly follow. I grew up in Long Beach, I live in San Francisco. Ive stayed in San Diego. This is my home I can still admit that its gone to shit.

Californians know for a fact that we cant stay here if we ever want to have a family thats why we leave for Texas specifically Austin because Austin is California in Texas.

CA Population Growth Rates:
1990 = 2.3%
2000 = 1.3%
2010 = 1.0%
2015 = 0.8%
2017 = 0.6%

The overall growth trend is shrinking and I wouldn't be surprised if it hits 0% growth in the coming years.

At some point it could potentially go in the negative direction.

One day you will grow up and get a gf. You will love this gf so much that you will want to marry her and start a family. Then you will start looking at buying a house and see that most of the houses are 1 bedroom 1 bathroom for over half a million dollars. Then you will start looking out of state and realize, damn I can have an entire acre of land with a mansion built on it for the same price in Texas. You can blindly love California if you want to, but itll happen and I know secretly you know this too, but choose to deflect it.

San Diego is expensive yeah, but I was saying with comparison to the rest of California its not that expensive.

Why are you afraid of splitting up the states? If those in the rural areas want to leave CA, CA will end up better for it.

Less Territory to maintain while having the richer half of the population is a net win for CA, and Jefferson like folks will get what they want.

There's no real down side to splitting up the states and make everybody happier.

Fine, so CA is still losing it's population while being replaced by outsiders filling in what is left over along with those who give birth to new ones.

Only idiots would secede from the Union.

Re-drawing boundary lines and forming new States within the Union is perfectly fine and we have a long standing history of doing so.

As long as you don't leave the USA, it's all honky dory as long as the residents can find a way to re-draw state lines.

Doesn't change the fact that CA is losing lots of it's residents and Non-CA folks have to move in to fill in the numbers.

CA still has Net Positive Export of existing Californians.

It takes outsiders and birth rates to make up for that into a small positive population growth that is also shrinking alongside the National Trend.

To be fair, the profit motive in housing has led to foreign speculators gobbling up large amounts of property and gleefully watching as prices skyrocket for anyone else who actually wants to, you know, live in the area. You can make $20-30/hr and barely afford a roof over your head in certain urban areas.

That's a big part of why people flee the state as they get older. Their money goes at least twice as far in other states.

Lot of EXISTING residents are leaving and outsiders are coming in to fill the gaps along with natural birth of new citizenry and legalized immigration.

That is a very big warning bell to many politicians along with what's going on.

Yes, you're still right, there is still a net positive growth of people in CA, for now!

You've been captain bias confirmation this entire topic. In your latest example you've failed to consider rates, which is middle-school math. Congratulations.

I'll make this as simple as possible. Five million people moving into the state from other states over the last 10 years. Six million moving out. Net loss of 1 million over 10 years in a population of 40 million, or 0.25% a year. Meaning about 3 in 1000 people in CA actually move out of state, one of the LOWEST in the nation. These numbers are only big when you don't consider CA total population. And you're a master at not considering something if it doesn't support your bias.

Please, just shut up. You're one of those guys who thinks he's saving face by continuing to argue even though you've been proven wrong multiple times.

No, I will not shut up.
That change is important.

If you think people are just drop in replacements for one another, then you are just a heartless person.

The demographics change is a big deal along with the cause of why it's changing.

The News articles prove that it's a big enough deal to write about it repeatedly ad nauseum.

Because you're proud of your ignorance. Failing 7th-grade math is an achievement to you.

That's usually how all these things start, doesn't it?

I'm from LA, and I support Jefferson's secession into it's own state.

In fact, here's how I would split CA up, into 7 states:

Things would be better if we were all split up.

Everybody would get what they want.

Once again, you're a small group of people who support it. If you know your history, you would know that this has been done before and every time it didn't pass. So what make you think that it will pass now, when majority of people don't want it?

Seriously. I don't care what side of the fence someone is on, if they are a piece of crap, they are a piece of crap.
