Second place is also an exceptional finish for Marisa; her success as well as the likes of Joshua, L'Arachel and Ephraim just goes to show the enduring appeal Sacred Stones has, particularly on Board 8 it seems.

I'd say there are a handful of aberrations in there; a few early exits and niche survivors into the later rounds, but generally the board favourites have found their way towards the top of the list, and besides, it's no more peculiar than your average Save My contest.

I can't say I'm going to miss having to put up rounds every evening and keep votals updated for the last few months, but it was still a contest worthwhile running with a satisfying conclusion. I lay no claim to running any and all future iterations of this contest, if indeed there are any. If someone else would like to run it next year, they're more than welcome to. Otherwise, time allowing, I'm happy to organise it again.

Well I'll repeat: As far as expected winners go Hector was by far the best result so despite slightly preferring Marisa as a character and for novelty's sake I can't be too upset

Pretty good results if you ignore the eliminations of the bottom 35 or so. Lots of early exits I actually liked a lot but couldn't save because they were like 4th or 5th priority. Mostly from the newer games where people who were the main supporters of those games had weird priorities like Lissa and Dwyer instead of the good characters from the games like Owain and Severa.

Even if I didn't support him, Hector is still a top 10 or 15 FE character for me, so he's a great winner. And Marisa losing by two isn't a bad showing, as I'd say Hector is the toughest opponent in a final after maybe Ike or Marth.

Well I can't speak to the winner or even Top 3, but I'm glad I was able to participate as long as I did given I've only played the 3DS games.

I feel like the niche oddball characters are the only particularly memorable ones. All the others tend to be painfully boring/generic. I really wish they'd put more effort into having variable dialog in the main story instead of side characters being non-existent.
