It was alright. C+ or B- grade for me.

Fantastic start, got kinda boring around the middle, then picked up steam again later. Nothing really blew me away, but it was a good, solid conference.

Third-parties won E3 this year. Microsoft is just regurgitating the same old tired franchises once again.

Don't forget buying studios when they're past their prime, and then having them not make new games.

Lol. Nin has never needed third party support.

Tell that to the Wii U.

That's your only example? The U had some great stuff regardless.

The last mainline Nintendo console failing and getting sent off to pasture is a pretty relevant example as to how important third party support is.

Does the Switch also have third party support, as well?

Doesn't*

Microsoft didn't win anything. The gamers won because MS showed a ton of amazing games.

I have to say... they did a great job this year. They didn't focus on sport/esport and show off a car prop or trophy. They just showed their games. I will say the Division 2 gameplay part was boring. Ubisoft should have kept that crap. And i didn't really care about the gamepass. Mircosoft buying 5 companies is scary, since look what happen to rare after the acquisition. I'm really scared for ninja theory. I really like that stuido.

Sony will have to step up huge not showing what microsoft already showed. They really can't focus on Spiderman or Days Gone. Because we already seen both those game last e3s for the last 2 years or so.

It could be worse. They could have been acquired by Activision or EA instead.

No, it's more like saying that death is preferable to dying, but also having your murderer fuck your corpse for a while, then make zombie puppets out of your remains to horrify your friends and loved ones.

But it's really not because most of their platforms have thrived on first party content alone. It may not be the biggest library but the quality is hard to beat. I have a PS4 for everything else worth playing.

True but only barely. None of the above 3 companies spell good news for the studios they acquire. Hell I don't trust any of them to put out good products, if they do they got lucky. All are too reliant on the same old crap and when these studios want to try something new they get laid off.

Not that Microsoft's conference was bad but I'm not sure on what basis you concluded that Sony's will probably be bad.

Microsoft's conference this year basically followed the format of Sony's conference last year, show the games, don't bore the audience with lots of information mostly for investors that gamers don't care about.

Which is what EA mostly did.

It's not like Nintendo has most of those multiplats though. Even if they can't beat each other it still puts them over Nintendo.

Yeah but they don't really need them. The Switch is doing fine without whatever latest release of Skyrim is coming out (though I'm sure many people are glad to have Skyrim on Switch) or the latest CoD. The Switch exclusives (and Nintendo exclusives in general) have gotten me more excited to play them than anything Microsoft or Sony has shown off as an exclusive at E3 since the One/PS4 came out.

Mutiplats are good and all but that's what they are: multiplats. Microsoft and Sony sharing a game series doesn't make me feel any better about Microsoft or Sony, especially in an age where PC versions of games come out sooner rather than later.

Ubisoft have already shown games with pre-orders & release dates

Knowing Sony (like last year) they'll have crowd "wowing" moments with nothing to follow up on (Shenmue 3 and FFVII when?)

You know its bad when MS show a KH3 trailer before Sony does
